The Advanced Technologies R&I Division has the following main missions:
- Create innovative and differentiating technological solutions to meet consumer and patient needs, aligned with the OPOH strategic framework.
- Key priorities include:
- Plant-based solutions
- Optimisation of milk and dairy ingredients
- Packaging transformation
- Development of innovative ingredients
- Development and mastery of technologies and processes enabling rapid innovation and market launch, operational excellence, and investment optimisation
- Simplification of developments through creation and combination of high-value technological elements
- Support Zone/CBU teams managing short-term projects (H1) by providing solutions when high-level expertise is required
- Develop and implement world-class capabilities, standards, and systems using digital tools in close coordination with D2D
Specifically, the Advanced Technologies – Processes Department is responsible for developing new manufacturing processes and technologies to support Danone’s growth and to establish a scientific approach to processes.
- Develop and supervise the industrialisation of new ferments that deliver product superiority, optimal nutrition, or health benefits for Danone’s fresh dairy category.
- Propose integration of the latest technological and molecular levers.
- Provide technical support for the deployment of developed ferments in the regions (via R&I teams).
- Strong knowledge of dairy fermentation processes and microbiology.
- Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams (R&I, Operations, Quality).
- Analytical mindset and problem-solving skills.
- Capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Good communication skills for sharing technical information clearly and effectively.
- Proficiency in digital tools and data analysis for process optimisation.
- Education: Master’s degree or equivalent in Food Science, Biotechnology, or Process Engineering.
A PhD is MANDATORY
- Experience: Initial experience (internship or first job) in dairy fermentation or related field.
- Languages: Fluent in English; French is a plus.
- Mobility: Occasional travel to production sites and R&I centers.
- Ability to innovate and propose new solutions.
- Rigorous approach to experimentation and industrialisation.
- Collaboration and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
