ABOUT THE ROLE

 

Danone is seeking an analytical and detail-oriented Demand Planning Analyst to join our Supply Chain team. In this permanent role, reporting to the Demand and Customer Supply Chain Manager, you will be responsible for developing accurate demand forecasts, supporting business decisions with data-driven insights, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. This role plays a critical part in ensuring product availability and operational efficiency across our Specialised Nutrition division.

 

Responsibilities

  • Demand Planning – Develop and maintain demand forecasts across an 18–24 month horizon, collaborating with Sales, Marketing, and Finance.
  • Forecast Accuracy – Monitor and improve KPIs such as forecast accuracy, bias, and customer service levels.
  • Data & Systems – Maintain accurate data in ERP systems (SAP IBP/APO) and ensure integration across supply chain functions.
  • Reporting & Analysis – Generate reports on demand consumption, case fill rates, and forecast performance; provide insights for decision-making.
  • S&OP Process – Support GPS (S&OP) cycles, including preparation for key meetings and global submissions.
  • Continuous Improvement – Identify opportunities to streamline processes and leverage machine learning tools for forecasting.

 

About you

You are a proactive, solution-focused Supply Chain professional with strong analytical skills and a passion for leveraging technology to improve processes. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy working cross-functionally, and are excited about using advanced tools like machine learning to enhance forecasting accuracy and efficiency.

 

Ideally, you will have

  • A degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field (preferred but not essential).
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in Supply Chain, including at least 12 months in demand planning (or supply planning with strong data and forecasting experience) preferably within the FMCG or consumer goods industry.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP IBP/APO) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Exposure to statistical forecasting and machine learning tools is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
