EU Research & Innovation Specification Manager

About the job

As an EU R&I Specification Manager, you will be responsible for structuring the harmonization of product and pack specification data across Europe to ensure a smooth migration into a new cross-category system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate product and packaging specification data preparation for Europe R&I teams, including data scoping, cleansing, gap identification, completion, and hierarchy construction,
  • Ensure access to data during the transition period and maintain interconnections with existing product and packaging databases, including nutrition and composition information, consumer data, manufacturing data, and logistics & sustainability,
  • Develop and optimize support tools for EU packaging and product engineers to simplify the development and monitoring of specification compliance and data quality,
  • Leverage dashboards and appealing data visualizations developed by technical teams to facilitate understanding of data by stakeholders,
  • Collaborate with R&I experts on product and pack development to capture their needs, translate them into clear technical directions, and ensure realization,
  • Be a force of proposal to improve the tools and efficiency of document management in Europe, including the possibility of creating databases and automated tools for managing obsolete documents.

About you

To succeed in this role, you need to have:

  • University degree in Food Science, Packaging Technology or a related field,
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the FMCG industry, in the field of packaging or/and product technology,
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills,
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities,
  • Proficiency in Excel, and/or Power BI for data analysis and visualization,
  • Ability to understand & interpret product/packaging specifications to highlight irrelevant information,
  • Organization skills to leverage efficiently product & pack expert contribution,
  • Fluent in English,
  • Knowledge of product lifecycle management solutions is a plus.
