About the job

Are you interested in getting field experience in finance? Do you want to learn the strategic role of a corporate finance within an innovative and international environment? Then apply now and become our new Financial Controlling Intern! We are looking for a motivated student to start as soon as possible in our R&I division based in Utrecht, NL.

 

You will be part of a highly motivated, international team of 5 people, and you will support the R&I Finance team at the R&I Utrecht Research Center. Through this experience, you will not only get a real insight into the financial mechanisms of our global company, but you will also learn about the exciting innovative R&I environment.

So, what will you do in practice?

  • Support with controlling activities such as rolling forecasts, strategic planning, OPEX monitoring and internal control.
  • Automation of financial processes and contribution to transversal projects aiming to maximize business value.
  • Take part in FP&A activities: P&L and Rolling Forecast reporting activities

 
All these missions will lead you to interact with various functions, such as the Danone Business Services and other R&I stakeholders. Lots of opportunities to grow and develop yourself!

About you

We are looking for a Master or Bachelor student in Finance, Business, Economics or related backgrounds. You have strong analytical skills, a good knowledge of Excel, SAP & Power BI. Previous experience in Accounting/Finance is a plus. You are an excellent communicator with an inclusive mindset who can deal with different stakeholders. Be able to work independently while still being a team player. Furthermore, we expect you to be a well-structured person who pays attention to details and enjoy challenges.

 

There are also some requirements that you should consider:

  • Resident of the Netherlands with a valid BSN number. Non-EU citizens must have a valid Dutch residency permit.
  • You are enrolled in the university for the whole duration of the internship.
  • For non-EU citizens, your university must sign a three-party agreement with Danone.
  • You are fluent in English – oral and written.
  • You can start as of March 2026 or earlier for a minimum of 6 months, 5 days a week.
  • Able to work from our Utrecht office at least 2 days per week.
