The Head of Quality, Food Safety & Compliance BNL, leads the QFS (Quality & Food Safety) compliance and performance agenda across the CBU BNL, for all categories (Dairy, Plant-Based, First Diet, SN and Waters). This role ensures that the business maintains its license to operate by embedding a strong QFS culture, ensuring regulatory compliance, and building capabilities across the organization. The role also acts as BUCM (Business Unit Crisis Manager) for the Benelux region.

Key Responsibilities

1. QFS Compliance & Governance

• Define and lead the QFS Compliance Strategy for the CBU BNL.
• Oversee governance of training programs for CBU employees on compliance-related topics.
• Ensure execution and governance of the Document Management System.
• Lead certification and internal audit programs (e.g., CBU audits, organic certifications).
• Maintain relationships with food authorities and represent Danone in technical committees (e.g., FAVV, BCZ, FEVIA, NVWA, VNFKD).

2. QFS Performance & Capabilities

• Lead the QFS Performance Agenda, including tracking, reporting, and adapting plans.
• Ensure the QFS team possesses the necessary knowledge, skills, and competencies.
• Govern and implement QFS training programs for both QFS and CBU employees, including induction and refreshers.
• Conduct external screening for new skills and digital capabilities.

3. Culture & Engagement

• Define governance and ensure impactful execution of the iCare and culture programs.
• Engage senior stakeholders to promote and sustain the QFS culture.

4. Crisis Management (BUCM Role)

• Lead CM governance in the CBU with the core CM team and senior stakeholders.
• Animate the CC (Crisis Correspondent) network across sites.
• Ensure readiness and response capability for crisis situations.

Key skills & experience you need to succeed:

• Strong cross-functional stakeholder management.
• Deep understanding of risk assessment and regulatory frameworks.
• Calm and decisive under pressure, especially in crisis scenarios.
• Excellent communication skills, particularly with senior leadership.
• Proven experience in food industry standards and compliance.
• Fluent in Dutch and English - French is a plus.
