We have an exciting opportunity for the role of HR Business Partner (Grade 9) to join us in our Liverpool plant on a permanent contract. The role is Hybrid – (min 3 days office based).

 

To work with the senior leadership teams to provide guidance and leadership across the full HR activity set, including resource planning, talent management, engagement and retention, reward and employee relations in order to maximise individual and business performance.

Work in partnership with L&D BP to identify Organisation Development needs and design interventions in conjunction with L&D shared services. You will be an Ambassador through collaboration with HR representatives across the UK and Medical Division to align the local HR vision, sharing resources and best practices. 

Line Manager accountability for the generalist HR Team with a focus on HR Excellence.

 

About you

We would like you to demonstrate your following key skills:

 

  • Establish strong relationships with key stakeholders and line managers to coach / give feedback on issues of effective team management, organisation effectiveness and team/individual capability gap analysis;
  • IWS Organisation Pillar Deputy with a presence on shop floor for Daily Direction Setting meetings;
  • Ensuring excellent execution of annual Danone People Survey and partnering with Head of HR for compilation and execution of resulting Action Plans;
  • Support Head of HR with site Organisational Design, FTE & HC processes;
  • To coach and develop the HR Team, simplifying roles, responsibilities and ways of working to improve efficiencies and embed a continuous improvement mindset;
  • To own Employee Relations for the Supply Point and ensure policies, processes and team SLA’s are adhered to whilst coaching and developing team members in their capabilities;
  • Supporting complex ER cases and senior Performance Management cases;
  • Being an active member of the SN HR and UKI HR regional teams to strengthen relations between the CBU and our Supply Point;
  • Being a key contact for P&A Admin team, liaising with UK/IRL Head of Rewards & business partners and other relevant stakeholders to ensure a smooth and accurate process;
  • Support People Managers on employee career development and organisation succession planning, coaching & challenging individuals on their own career management.
  • Be key liaison for the 24/7 operations with Union on all operational matters, working closely with Union on social dialogue to drive change agenda across production, including deputization for Head of HR when required;
  • Identify capability needs based on business strategy and work with functions to determine creative solutions, managing or supporting HR, OD and Change projects in conjunction with this;
  • Ad-hoc SPOC for Regional/Global data campaigns, including ASR/STI campaigns;
  • Ambassador for Human Rights Taskforce & sponsor;
  • Supporting internal and external audits as required;
  • Support the administration of employee processes from onboarding stage, through the employee work life-cycle. Submit all relevant Founda! tickets for, job moves in a timely manner, update all relevant trackers & HRIS;
  • Recruitment (End to end) for Senior level roles;
  • Supporting wit any HR/People/Leadership capability building across the site;
  • Key Lead for any regional campaigns & projects UK/IRL.

Leadership & Functional Competencies:

  • Previous experience of working as a HR Generalist
  • Previous experienced of managing a team within a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent influencing, relationship building and communication skills
  • Proven track record of working effectively with multiple level stakeholders requiring an autonomous, decision-making approach
  • Can demonstrate curiosity and uses a coaching style to challenge their partners to think differently and seek new perspectives and move beyond obstacles
  • Thinks broadly and can consider all implications of actions across the business function, demonstrating high levels of resilience and emotional intelligence
  • Is practised and experienced in all matters relating to employee relations
  • Has strong commercial awareness and financial acumen
  • Has the ability to take initiative and work without supervision is essential, prioritising own workload and self-efficient, results orientated
  • Experience within unionised environments and ability to nurture an effective relationship with union representatives
  • Strong IT skills - PowerPoint, Excel
  • CIPD level 5 qualified is preferred
  • Demonstrates curiosity
  • Can manage change effectively

 

Critical Experience Required:

 

  • Manufacturing (FMCG) previous experience advantageous
  • CIPD level 5 minimum
  • Solid knowledge of employment law and HR procedures
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong stakeholder management
  • English speaking
