HSE Officer (Zoetermeer – fulltime)

This role is part of our Specialized Nutrition factory in Zoetermeer and reports directly to the HSE Manager. In this factory (with over 500 Danoners) we produce specialized liquid medical nutrition that contributes to the well-being of vulnerable target groups (infants, elderly and sick) in over 55 countries.

 

What are you going to do?
As Junior HSE Officer you focus on the assigned departments on Zoetermeer site, where you provide support within HSE. You will also take on an expert and leader role in some WISE culture elements and 12BS standards.

 

You will continuously support & coach the increase of safety awareness and the achievement of the predetermined safety standards; this by awareness, motivating, enthusing and inspiring our employees (and third parties). You help to create an atmosphere of ownership and management commitment. In your approach you know how to set priorities, you show the necessary flexibility (occasionally visiting night and weekend shifts) and you work out a long-term solution

 

Your responsibilities: 

  • Facilitating and following up on the safety culture & 12 BS Standards development in the assigned departments, etc. Striving for “0” accidents in your assigned zones, where you take on an expert role in safety
    • Support with Tools and Standards implementation;
    • Form the Safety Map of the departments` area;
    • Support with Incident Investigation;
    • Monthly Safety departments analytics preparation / gap analysis / preparation of corrective measure;
    • Control data of All safety (actions execution, working processes, …) and timely escalations of all difficulties;
    • Monitor Safety Training Status
  • Make a daily observation tours;
    • Attend department DDS to check correctness, completeness and quality of safety data sharing. Making the DDS health check;
    • Monitor the availability of the necessary visualization, its relevance, quality and sufficiency;
  • Performing internal safety audits / observations
  • Organizing and actively supporting HSE-related meetings (like: Departmental Consultation, WISE² working group, etc.)
  • Drawing up internal communication and awareness campaigns
  • Lead some of 12BS Standards & Safety culture elements for the whole Zoetermeer site.
  • Lead the “Safety digitalization” project and act as a key user for the site
  • Develop and lead the safety communication campaign
  • Support some Engineering projects in terms of safety.

You`ll work together with your colleagues towards efficient safety management, you can support a team of nice HSE colleagues who can assist you with advice and experience.

About you

For this challenging position, we are looking for someone who is able to provide structure and lead an improvement agenda. You fit this role if: 

  • You have a bachelor's degree related to safety;
  • You have +1 year of experience in safety within a production environment;
  • VCA certification (or willingness to obtain);
  • Safety is a passion for you!
  • You are motivated, driven, solution-oriented and a team player;
  • You persevere until you have achieved the desired result and always strive for a “win-win” situation;
  • You are a person type, who has a hands-on approach;
  • You have smooth communication skills and can speak in front of a group;
  • You are available for 40 hours per week;
  • You fluent in English, Dutch would be a plus;
  • You have knowledge of the MS Office package.
