As a member of the Contract Manufacturing Procurement team, reporting to the Senior Procurement Manager for Contract Manufacturing, the intern will focus on initiatives directly tied to the sourcing, selection, and management of contract manufacturing partners. The role centers on supporting procurement activities such as cost analysis, supplier onboarding, contractual negotiations, and ensuring continuous improvement in suppliers performance.

 

A key focus of the role will be to review and evaluate Danone’s Global procurement tools, highlight best practices, and identify ways to adapt these tools and processes to fit the specific needs of our team. The intern will be expected to proactively identify and communicate any gaps or challenges these global tools may present within the Canadian market context, ensuring that our procurement operations remain agile and effective.

 

Key Challenges

  • Quickly understand digital tools and apply contract manufacturing procurement processes.
  • Critically assessing Danone Global procurement tools and determining how best to adapt these resources for contract manufacturing procurement in the Canadian context.
  • Balance multiple suppliers projects management concurrently.
  • Analyze suppliers proposals, contracts, and operational challenges to drive optimal decisions.

About you

Qualifications & key competencies

  • Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s program (ideally third year completed) in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field;
  • Bilingual proficiency in English required; French is an asset;
  • Interest in contract management, supplier engagement, and process improvement;
  • A strong business sense, pragmatic and result-oriented;
  • Analytical mindset and ability to synthesize;
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills;
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and respond proactively to challenges.
