About the job

For our Medical Affairs and Clinical Nutrition team we have the aim to be more data driven. The objective of this internship is to design and implement structured databases that centralize Medical Affairs data and improve accessibility across the organization.

 


The role focuses on organizing e.g. communication assets to support efficient knowledge management and data governance. You will contribute to enhancing data quality, consistency and usability, enabling more effective insights generation and decision-making.

 


Overall, the position supports the Global Medical Affairs & Clinical Nutrition team, in Specialised Nutrition, in strengthening its impact through improved data integration and operational excellence.

 

 

 

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Designing and Building scalable databases that contain the required datasets.
  • Reporting: Propose and execute design of appropriate dashboard in line with the expectations of senior stakeholder.
  • Collaboration: Engage with the different Medical Affair teams to ensure the right level of information in the databases and dashboard to serve its purpose.

 

 

Key deliverables:

    • Scalable linked databases; robust and future proof
    • (PowerBI) dashboard(s) to report on the requested metrics.

About you

  • Master student in Data Sciences, Data Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience in at least Excel, Power Bi and Sharepoint.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across disciplines.
  • A proactive mindset with attention to detail
  • Data modeling and database design
  • ETL/ELT pipeline development
  • Experience with cloud-based platforms (e.g., Databricks, Azure)
  • Basic understanding of analytics and reporting needs

 

Key requirements:

  • Enrolled as a Master's student for the entire duration of the internship.
  • Resident of the Netherlands with a valid BSN number. Non-EU citizens must have a valid Dutch residency permit.
  • For non-EU citizens, your university must sign a three-party agreement with Danone.
  • Available to start in August/September 2026 for a minimum of 6 months, 4-5 days per week.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written);
  • Able to work from our Utrecht office at least 3 days per week.
