You will play a key role within the Global Procurement Bottling Solutions team, a dynamic group of six professionals specialising in various packaging categories including Bottles, Preforms, Caps, and Closures. This team supports all divisions of the company—Waters, Essential Dairy & Plant-Based, and Specialized Nutrition.

We offer an exciting opportunity to join a fun, multicultural, and collaborative environment, where you’ll contribute directly to the implementation of sourcing strategies. You’ll be entrusted with real responsibilities across critical business processes, including:

  • Evaluating supplier performance at manufacturing sites
  • Scouting Market and drive productivity and optimisation initiatives
  • Monitoring the rollout of corporate contracts

Your involvement will be hands-on and impactful, making you a valuable asset to our global operations.

 

 

Your responsibilities:

 

Category management & database :

  • Data collection : Gather and update data for Business Continuity Plan (BCP) files; Update category databases for plastic bottles, caps & closures and preforms; track molds/capacity/BCP status.
  • Safety stock level management : Monitor supplier stock levels (raw materials and finished goods) for all bottling solutions
  • Build and share Danone factories roadmap: Create and animate factories around roadmap on productivity, reformulation, quality, safety, and BCP projects.

 

Supplier Relationship management :

  • Collect inputs ahead of SRM review: Gather supplier quality data KPIs and supply KPIs in preparation for SRM reviews and help deliver performance objectives (productivity, negotiation).

 

Cross-functional initiatives :

  • Build an exhaustive Packaging benchmark reporting market trends, weight, material… with the aim of prioritizing the future procurement initiatives regarding reformulation and innovation.  Connect with Marketing to capture the UX insights as well as scout the market to highlight and list the procurement initiatives in the coming 5 years.
  • Sustainability benchmark: Explore and identify potential initiatives to reduce CO2 and bring greener operation to the category and quantify impact through material lightweighting, sub-supplier energy consumption, waste management…
  • Should cost analysis: Assist in global benchmarking and should cost analysis to identify SWOT and competitiveness.
  • Present Business continuity plan project: Build strong dossier with the help of the expert buyer in order to present in dedicated forums the project and gain resources and priorization within the organization to strengthen the category resilience from supplier and market disruption risks.

 

Cross functional project management :

 

In addition to this, you will have the opportunity to further develop your project management skills by engaging in various projects that meet the current needs of the team, and you will be encouraged to share your own ideas and bring them to life.

About you

You are a Bachelor’s/Master’s student in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Procurement, Industrial Engineering or another related field. You are highly motivated and proactive. You have strong communication skills and like being in touch with multiple stakeholders, internally and externally. You are a self-starter, curious, and you are not afraid to manage multi tasks and share your opinion or ask questions when needed. You have proficient knowledge of Excel (pivot table, scenarios…) that can be used for efficient data analysis, and analytical skills to transform data into useful insights. Also, you are eager to learn and thrive in a dynamic environment that continuously challenges you.

 

Key requirements:

  • Enrolled as a Bachelor's or Master's student for the entire duration of the internship.
  • Resident of the Netherlands with a valid BSN number. Non-EU citizens must have a valid Dutch residency permit.
  • For non-EU citizens, your university must sign a three-party agreement with Danone.
  • Available to start in January 2026 for a minimum of 6 months, 5 days per week.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written).
  • Able to work from our Hoofddorp office.
