Internship (Procurement): Supply Chain Integration

About the job

As our new Supply Chain Integration Intern supporting procurement activities for special packaging and ingredients categories. The role focuses on collecting, analyzing, and reviewing data to help prevent out-of-stock (OOS) situations and support crisis prevention. The intern will work closely on procurement topics such as OOS mitigation, Business Continuity Planning (BCP), procurement strategies, safety stock policies, supplier management, and stakeholder engagement. This is a hands-on role requiring interaction with multiple stakeholders and openness to learning by doing.

 

 

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Support data management: Collect, analyze, and review category and supplier data to enable risk monitoring and decision-making.
  • Assist OOS and BCP actions: Contribute to mitigation plans, risk mapping, and preventive measures for supply continuity.
  • Collaborate on procurement strategies: Work with buyers and planners on supplier performance, safety stock policies, and sourcing support.
  • Engage with stakeholders: Coordinate across factories, procurement, quality, and suppliers to ensure timely actions.
  • Learn and contribute: Gain practical supply chain and procurement knowledge while supporting one of the most dynamic FMCG environments.

About you

Core Skills & Competencies

  • Communication Skills: Clear, professional, and confident in both written and verbal communication; able to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Microsoft Suite Expertise:
    • Excel: Advanced skills (data analysis, pivot tables, formulas, charts).
    • Power BI: Ability to create dashboards and visualize data for decision-making.
    • Power Automate: Familiarity with workflow automation for process efficiency.
  • Stakeholder Management: Comfortable engaging with multiple internal and external stakeholders simultaneously; strong coordination and follow-up skills.
  • Event Flexibility: Availability to participate in occasional events or activities outside standard working hours.

Personal Attributes

  • Proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Resilient under ambiguity and able to manage competing priorities.

 

Mandatory requirements:

  • Enrolled as a Bachelor's or Master's student for the entire duration of the internship.
  • Resident of the Netherlands with a valid BSN number. Non-EU citizens must have a valid Dutch residency permit.
  • For non-EU citizens, your university must sign a three-party agreement with Danone.
  • Available to start in February 2026 for a minimum of 6 months, 5 days per week.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written).
  • Able to work from our Hoofddorp office at least 2 days per week.
