Within the Food Science & Technology team, we are recruiting a Data & Digital Intern based in Utrecht, the Netherlands. The team is on a mission to become the Danone Global Center of Excellence for physical, chemical and shelf-life analysis.

You will be given the opportunity to develop yourself and build your career. With a strong background in data science, programming, and digital solutions, you will be able to deliver self-built and packaged solutions, as well as support smaller outsourced projects within a research environment. The focus will be on improving how stakeholders use data by developing reports and dashboards and creating interfaces to better connect people with data. You will identify and explore opportunities for digital solutions, contribute ideas to meet stakeholder needs, and help build a network within the wider Danone Digital journey to share best practices.

Responsibilities:

• Delivering the implementation of digital tools according to the digital roadmap
• Carry out end-to-end data analyses, from gathering business requirements and defining targets and KPIs, to analyzing data and reporting results.
• Leading the maintenance, handling and collection of all data.
• Developing and owning the recurring reporting and analyses of data to help drive insights for multiple teams within the Food Science & Technology team.
• Creating and maintaining KPI dashboards which can be understood by everyone who reads them.
• Providing ad hoc analyses for multiple stakeholders.
• Implementing continuous improvements in reporting process efficiency, data accuracy and data quality. 

• Highly motivated to learn, grow and explore new topics and technologies.
• An analytical team player who has the desire to solve problems using data-driven insights.
• Able to present data through a story that everyone understands.
• An Excel expert with a strong ability to work with graphs, pivot tables, lookup functions and macros.
• Experience with M365 (incl. Power BI, Power Automate and Power Query); Python knowledge is a plus.
• Able to communicate with stakeholders with different needs.
• An understanding that clear visuals are essential for effective data communication.
• Proactive in exploring new solutions and implementing tools within a complex environment.
• Able to balance flexibility and structure in a research-driven setting.
• Result-driven and capable of working autonomously. 

Compulsory requirements:

• Enrolled as a Bachelor's/Master's student in Business Administration, Data analytic, Digitalization, Big data, Data Science, or a related field, for the entire duration of the internship.
• Resident of the Netherlands with a valid BSN number. Non-EU citizens must have a valid Dutch residency permit.
• For non-EU citizens, your university must sign a three-party agreement with Danone.
• Available to start in September 2026 for a minimum of 6 months, 4-5 days per week.
• Fluent in English (spoken and written)
• Able to work from our Danone Nutricia Research, Utrecht office at least 2 days per week.
