As an Early Life Nutrition Product Development Intern, you will be part of our SN R&I Liquid team working on infant milk formula. This team focuses on designing, developing and delivering new innovation/renovation products to the market for our Early Life Nutrition division, while ensuring their proper implementation in our factory network. In this role, you will interact with different departments and gain experience in a multinational company responsible for providing healthy products to our consumers globally.

Your main responsibilities will be to support the team on the development of Liquid milks products & designed to meet the consumer expectations.

 

You main responsibilities will be:

  • Preparing, execute, and follow pilot plant trials & prototypes development,
  • Assisting with the preparation and execution of shelf life studies.
  • Conducting physico-chemical analysis in the lab using techniques such as Mastersizer, Zetasizer, Microscopy, pH, Lumifuge and/or Colorimeter.
  • Conduct research to provide scientific evidence for meeting shelf life requirements
  • Creating and maintaining project documentation and reports.
  • Collaborating with core team members on brainstorming sessions and data analysis
  • Collaborate with global cross functional teams gaining more insights on our different products and its expectations to meet consumer target.

About you

  • You are currently a student pursuing a degree in Food Technology, Food Science, or a related field
  • You are comfortable working in a laboratory setting
  • You have excellent communication skills and like being in touch with multiple stakeholders 
  • You are proficient in data analysis (Excel, R) 
  • You can work autonomously as well as being a proven valuable member of a team
  • You are proactive and are not afraid to bring new ideas to the board 

 

As an Early Life Nutrition Product Development Intern, being a fast learner, team player, well organized and proactive with hands-on approach will be second nature to you. You can deal with different challenges and unexpected results. On top of that? You’re a critical thinker who’s always looking for opportunities to learn and develop.

 

There are also some compulsory requirements:

 

  • Enrolled as a Masters student during the whole internship period;
  • You are a resident of the Netherlands and hold a valid BSN number (if you are a non-EU citizen, you need to have a valid Dutch residency permit);
  • Ideally available to start in September 2025 for a minimum of 6 months, 5 days per week;
  • You are fluent in English - spoken and written;
  • You are able to work from our Utrecht office, at least 4-5 days per week.
