Internship: Sustainable Sourcing and Forest Engagement

About the job

At Danone, we recognize the urgent need to continue and amplify our effort in protecting and restoring natural ecosystems, this has been a central element of our Sustainable sourcing strategy especially through the lens of Danone Forest Policy (published in 2022 and updated in 2025).

Danone has been taking strong commitments on deforestation and land conversion for key supply chains, in line with its engagement to 1.5C SBTI FLAG target. Category action plans are being implemented and monitored across Danone Procurement organization (also called Cycles & Procurement) and we have the ambition to strengthen even more our internal and external engagement on this topic, to maximize impact and awareness and prepare the next phases of our strategy.

As our new Intern Sustainable Sourcing and Forest Engagement, you will join our Sustainable Sourcing team (part of Cycles & Procurement) to support in making Forest and Sustainable Sourcing topics understood and shining across our organization. We expect you to do it your way and bring something special to support our different teams in monitoring their achievements and celebrating our progress towards nature-positive.

You will actively participate in the monitoring and the engagement of Danone Sustainable Sourcing ambition by:

  • Structuring and animating our community of stakeholders around Sustainable Sourcing, including Forest and Nature topics (e.g., supporting buyer and supplier engagement during data collection and throughout the implementation of the strategy).
  • Reinforcing and expanding our knowledge base, including monitoring external trends, scientific updates, regulations, and industry best practices on forest, nature, and deforestationfree supply chains.
  • Supporting the consolidation of progress on forestrelated targets, such as developing and maintaining monitoring dashboards and contributing to external reporting requirements like CDP Forests. This includes updating Danone’s Annual Forest Report (publicly available).
  • Supporting the development of our 2026–2030 strategy, including benchmarking, gathering external inspiration, and contributing to strategic planning.

To thrive your missions, you will be accompanied by the Global Head of Forest & Biodiversity of Danone. You will join a small and close-knit international team with people who are eager to guide you through this experience. You will have the opportunity to gain practical insights into how sustainability is implemented in an international company.
