INVOICE TO CASH MANAGER

About the job

The Invoice to Cash (I2C) Manager is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end accounts receivable process, ensuring timely and accurate billing, collections, cash application, and dispute resolution. This role plays a critical part in optimizing working capital, improving customer satisfaction, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and external regulations.. The role requires familiarity with the specific dynamics of the food and pharmacy product sectors, including collaboration with retail clients, pharmacies, and wholesalers.

Responsibilities and duties

  • Lead and develop the I2C team, ensuring high performance across billing, collections, and cash application.
  • Oversee timely and accurate invoicing aligned with contractual terms and internal policies.
  • Manage credit risk by establishing and reviewing customer credit limits, performing credit assessments, and ensuring adherence to credit policies.
  • Monitor accounts receivable aging and drive proactive collection strategies to reduce overdue balances.
  • Supervise cash application processes to ensure accurate and timely posting of payments.
  • Resolve customer disputes and deductions in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as DSO, collection effectiveness, and dispute resolution cycle time.
  • Partner with Sales, Customer Service, and Finance to improve the end-to-end order-to-cash process.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, and audit requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement and automation initiatives within the I2C function.

 

About you

 

Academic and trade qualifications 

·         Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field.

·         Strong knowledge of ERP systems and MS Excel.

·         Excellent team management and problem-solving skills.

·         Fluency in English (written and spoken).

 Work experience and skills

·         Minimum 5 years of proven experience in Credit Control or Financial Management roles.

·         Previous experience in companies operating in the food, pharmaceutical, or para-pharmaceutical sectors is highly desirable.

·         Hands-on experience managing receivables from retail clients, pharmacies, and wholesalers.

·         Familiarity with legal collection procedures, settlements, and credit risk management.

·         Prior leadership experience or team supervision will be considered a strong asset.

·         Team player with group facilitation skills.

·         Exceptional time management skills with the ability to prioritize.
