The mission of IWS Sr Manager are 1) drive/improve overall factory performance, and 2) to drive further roll out of IWS implementation and step up in the maturity phases of the program.
IWS stands for Integrated Work System, developed by P&G. IWS is relying on key structural and management principles like servant leadership, learn-do-teach approach, equipment ownership, line centric organization to lead to a culture of 0 losses driven by shopfloor employee's ownership.
IWS is a framework to drive better factory performance through Building Capability, Up-Skills, and operating with STANDARD. To run IWS, building fundamental which consists of 1) 100% total employee ownership, 2) Zero Loss Journey (mindset and roadmap) and 3) Daily Direction Setting (DDS) & Daily Management System (DMS).
On top of fundamental, there are pillars to building specific capabilities. Pillars consists of 1) Leadership, 2)AM (Autonomous Maintenance), 3)LE (Loss Eliminatin), 4) Organization, 5) PM (Progressive Maintenance), 6) WPI (Work Process Improvement, 7)Quality, 8) IM (Initiative Management), 9) E&T (Education & Training), 10)HSE (Health, Safety and Environment), and 11) Supply Chain.
IWS Leader is accountable to make sure IWS is in place by building right capability here in Tatebayashi Factory to drive better performance in SQCDME (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Morale, and Environment)
Main responsibilities
• Drive performance improvement
• Drive factory productivity
-Find improvement opportunity (any type of losses)
-Propose potential solution and estimate the impact of improvement.
• To be a SPOC for global reporting of performance, environment, etc.
• Be an expert of IWS.
• Coordinate and provide training to employee.
• Introduce new way of working to site (implementation of DDS, MDS, STANDARD)
• Make sure IWS is in place and running well (Health Check)
• Leading pillar review
• Be a SPOC to Region / Global IWS forum.
• Develop next generation of IWS expert
Education background • Bachelor/Master of engineering / chemical engineering / industrial engineering is preferable
Technical Skills and Experiences required • Experience to lead TPM (AM, PM, FI, etc). Experienced P&G IWS manager would be a plus.
• Working in experience in FMCG. Food / Pharmaceutical industry is a plus.
• Communication skill / Coaching skill
• Japanese / English in business level

• Curiosity (flexible to implement new method / technology / presence on shopfloor) – Learn – Do – Teach
• Ambitious mindset (set stretch ambitious goals and draw road map to achieve there) / challenge the status-quo
• Presentation/communication skill (doesn’t mean power point technical skill) – how simply summarize issue/opportunity/solution and can use appropriate approach / language (vocabulary) for different type of audience
