As a Junior Category Development Coordinator, you’ll assist in analyzing market data, understanding shopper behavior, and contributing to assortment and shelf optimization projectsgaining hands-on experience in category management within a dynamic FMCG environment. 

 

Your key responsibilities will be to: 

  • Support the Category Development team in analyzing retail and shopper data (e.g., Nielsen, retailer scans) to identify trends and insights. 
  • Assist in building assortment and shelf recommendations, contributing to the development of planograms and visibility solutions. 
  • Prepare and update category performance reports and dashboards, tracking KPIs such as share of market (SoM), share of shelf (SoS), and rate of sale (ROS). 
  • Participate in internal cross-functional meetings with Marketing and Sales, supporting the integration of category insights into commercial plans. 
  • Contribute to innovation projects, helping track new product listings, distribution, and post-launch performance. 
  • Learn to translate data into actionable recommendations, under the guidance of senior team members. 
  • Support day-to-day operational and administrative tasks within the Category Development team.

About you

  • Strong analytical mindset and genuine curiosity for understanding market and shopper data. 
  • Good organization and communication skills, with attention to detail. 
  • Basic understanding of business metrics and KPIs (TDP, SoM, SoS, ROS) — willingness to learn how to interpret and use them. 
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint (experience with data visualization or reporting tools is a plus). 
  • Team player, eager to learn and take initiative in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Good English skills, both written and verbal. 
  • Bachelor’s degree (in progress or completed) in Economics, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field. 
  • Prior internship or academic experience in FMCG, marketing, or data analysis is a plus, but not required.
