Maintenance Lead

About the job

Haps/On-site

Are you a passionate maintenance professional with experience in food, pharma, or biotech manufacturing? If you're ready to take the lead in a dynamic production environment, we have an exciting opportunity for you!

As a Maintenance Lead in our factory in Haps, you’ll be a key member of the Line Trio, managing one production line and leading a team of 5 to 6 shift technicians. You’ll report directly to the Technical Department Manager within Operations.

Your responsibilities:

  • Identifying, prioritising, and eliminating maintenance and breakdown-related losses.
  • Building, planning, coordinating, and executing preventive maintenance plans (PMs).
  • Driving process reliability and control.
  • Defining equipment standards in line with IWS (similar to Total Productive Maintenance).
  • Developing the capabilities of Operating Teams and Equipment Owners to deliver strong line performance.
  • Managing and coaching the shift technicians assigned to your line.
  • Enhancing the technical expertise of your team.

Your main tasks:

  • Owning the PM systems for the line, with a focus on Maintenance Planning & Scheduling and the Breakdown Elimination Daily Management System (DMS).
  • Creating, leading, and evolving a time-based preventive maintenance plan.
  • Collaborating with line management to prioritise improvement opportunities.
  • Supporting and leading parts of the Line’s 90-Day loss-elimination plans.
  • Delivering breakthrough results in both planned and unplanned downtime.
  • Managing M&R costs, tracking % of planned maintenance, PM completion rates, and breakdown reduction.
  • Participating in daily direction-setting: reporting results, flagging issues, and requesting resources.
  • Coaching and developing shift teams as a technical mentor and resource.
  • Sharing and reapplying learnings across processes, modules, and plants.
  • Preparing and delivering technical training sessions.

About you

You fit this role if:

  • You have a degree in manufacturing, engineering, or a related field — or equivalent hands-on experience;
  • You’ve worked in manufacturing, ideally in the Food or FMCG industry;
  • You’re experienced in both preventive and corrective maintenance;
  • You’ve been involved in projects and know how to manage them effectively;
  • You're proactive, driven by continuous improvement and teamwork;
  • You’re comfortable with digital systems or eager to learn them;
  • You're fluent in Dutch and English.
