This role anchors the project governance backbone for projects >10mE to >50mE

The mandate is to drive visibility, accountability, and execution discipline across all

disciplines within project, ensuring the project consistently delivers on strategic priorities, financial commitments, and operational value creation.

 

Main responsibilities

 

  1. Project Governance & Performance Management
    - Lead the project governance framework.
    - Build and operate an enterprise-level performance cockpit tracking scope, cost, schedule, risks and benefits for the project.
    - Drive monthly and quarterly performance reviews with senior leadership.
    - Facilitate early escalation on high-visibility or at-risk projects.
  2. Project Insights & Decision Support
    - Translate project performance data into executive insights.
    - Prepare decision-ready materials for investment committees.
    - Provide forward-looking risk and interdependency analysis.
    - Manage the annual capital planning cycle.
  3. Standards, Tools & Digital Enablement
    - Own and evolve the PMO toolkit.
    - Champion digital PM solutions and dashboards.
    - Drive enterprise-wide adoption of common tools.
  4. Capability Building & Operating Model Excellence
    - Provide coaching to project team
    - Ensure vertical start-up readiness and benefits tracking.

About you

Education background

• Bachelors degree in Engineering

 

Technical Skills and Experiences required

• 12–18+ years in capital program governance or engineering PMO in asset-intensive industries.
• Exposure to €20m to 100m + projects
• Strong command of capex management
• Executive communication and decision-support capability.

• Expertise in project controls, capex budgeting, and risk management.
• Strong digital literacy (Power BI/Tableau, PPM tools).
• Ability to create executive-ready reporting.
• Skilled at running complex governance routines.
• Strong communication skills in written and spoken English, Japanese capability is good to have.
