Packaging Factory Technologist (Haps – Fulltime)

Are you ready to become a Technologist, focusing on Packaging, in our State of the Art Factory at Haps?

In this role you will be responsible for initiating, leading and implementing innovation, renovation, secure, productivity and efficiency packaging projects in factory Haps while acting as a linking pin with R&I and leveraging canning line expertise across the SPs network.
In this role you will be directly reporting to the, Technology Manager Haps.

  • Lead qualification & validation for like-4-like pack changes and/or optimization projects for Haps.
  • Lead pack projects involving technology building & transfer for Haps: risk assessments, trial results/learnings, cutter guides, pallet patterns, etc.
  • Generate & implement packaging PSQC improvement projects for Haps: productivity/cost avoidance,  secure of supply/crisis management.
  • Supports trial execution for pack flagship innovations and/or new pack technology projects for Haps.
  • Be the key packaging SPOC for Haps by providing factory knowledge and capabilities into pack developments and roadmaps (ie. risk assessments, pack brief, qualification plans) and vice versa.
  • Ensure early factory-involvement in packaging innovation pipeline.
  • Act as a linking pin between the Haps factory and R&I regarding improving ways-of-working, training and improving development/NPD guidelines.
  • Build and Leverage canning line packaging knowledge/manufacturing expertise and best practices and share across Supply point networks.
  • Co-build & setup Haps to become Canning Center-of-Excellence.
  • Contribute to CAPEX pack projects execution (new lines/new equipment qualification).
  • Contribute to line downtime reduction / efficiency PR improvement activities execution.
  • Contribute to Factory Quality/safety: HACCP risk analysis, technological quality documents, change control documents (PPP) and troubleshooting.
  • Support the Operations and Q&T department in packaging related decisions and discussions.
  • Ensure all project phases for pack projects are followed, prepared, executed and documented in close cooperation with other project functions and R&I.

About you

To be successful in the role of Packaging Technologist we believe your profile should contain:

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Packaging, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design Engineering, Technology or similar discipline;

  • Experience in the production of packaging materials;
  • Strong stakeholdermanagement skills in order to be linking pin between factory, Central Quality, C&P and R&I;
  • Analytical capabilities with the ability to prioritize;
  • Ability to absorb new information and ideas easily;
  • Fluent in English and preferably Dutch speaking.
