Danone is looking for a talented finance professional based in Cairo, Egypt supporting the Riyadh Plant in KSA. The person will carry out the below responsibilities

Key Operational Responsibilities

Daily / Weekly Tasks

Monitor and validate production cost data (materials,.).

Review and approve purchase orders and expense requests for compliance.

Track inventory movements and reconcile discrepancies with operations.

Ensure timely posting of journal entries and cost allocations in ERP (SAP).

Provide real-time financial KPIs

Maintain constant collaboration with co-manufacturers to:

   - Align on production volumes, cost structures, and invoicing accuracy.

   - Validate shared cost allocations and ensure transparency in financial transactions.

   - Resolve discrepancies in material usage, yield, and billing promptly.

Monthly Closing

Lead plant month-end close: accruals, cost allocations, and variance analysis.

Prepare detailed P&L for the plant and explain variances to budget/forecast.

Submit financial reports to corporate within deadlines.

Budgeting & Forecasting

Coordinate annual plant budget process with operations and supply chain.

Prepare rolling forecasts based on production plans and material cost trends.

Identify risks and opportunities impacting plant financial performance.

Cost Control & Analysis

Analyze BOM (Bill of Materials) and routing cost accuracy.

Monitor standard vs. actual cost variances and recommend corrective actions.

Partner with production teams and co-manufacturers to reduce waste and improve efficiency.

Track energy, maintenance, and indirect costs for optimization.

SCP (Statistical Cost of Price) Breakup

Perform yearly preparation and quarterly actualization of SCP components:

   - Raw material cost

   - Packaging cost

   - Conversion cost

   - Depreciation cost

Ensure accurate allocation and reporting of SCP elements to support pricing and profitability analysis.

Compliance & Internal Controls

Ensure adherence to corporate accounting policies and SOX controls.

Maintain proper documentation for audits and compliance checks.

Implement and monitor financial controls to prevent errors or fraud.

Operational Support

Participate in daily/weekly plant meetings to provide financial insights.

Support CAPEX projects with ROI analysis and post-investment reviews.

Physical verification of assets

Drive cost-saving initiatives and monitor progress.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s in Finance/Accounting; CPA/CMA preferred.

2 - 5 years in manufacturing finance, with strong cost accounting experience.

Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP) and advanced Excel.

Strong analytical skills and ability to work closely with operations and external partners.

Travel Requirements: 1 travel to the plant per quarter 

Languages: Fluent in English and Arabic
