Are you ready to kick-start your career in Global Procurement? Do you want to work on real projects in a multinational FMCG environment while deep diving into one of Danone’s strategic raw materials? Join Danone as our next Procurement Intern – Fruit Preparations, starting July 2026, and gain hands-on exposure to global sourcing, strategy deployment and value creation in an international, cross-functional and fast-paced environment. 

 

As part of the Global Procurement – Fruit Preparations team, you will work closely with senior buyers and category managers and contribute directly to the execution of European and Global sourcing strategies. 

 

This internship offers real responsibilities, not just observation. You will be fully embedded in the team, involved in ongoing projects, and exposed to suppliers, factories and key internal stakeholders across Europe and beyond. 

 

You will develop a strong understanding of how procurement drives competitiveness, innovation and sustainability in a global organisation. This role is best suited for students looking for a highimpact, demanding internship. 

 

Your main responsibilities include:

 

Project Management & Business Support 

  • Lead and support cross-functional projects at European and global level (productivity, optimization, process improvement). 

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and identify business opportunities for the Fruit Preparations category. 

  • Act as an interface between multiple stakeholders (Procurement, Quality, R&I, Supply Chain, Operations). 

  • Support operational activities such as: 

  • Supplier performance tracking, 

  • Follow-up of action plans, 

  • Monitoring project/recommendation implementation. 

 

Strategy & Sourcing 

  • Support the definition and deployment of the European Sourcing Strategy, working closely with country teams. 

  • Get exposed to tenders, negotiations and supplier selection processes 

  • Prepare analyses and materials to support strategic decision-making. 

  • Help align and engage stakeholders around category priorities and sourcing roadmaps. 

 

Data Analytics Digitalization 

  • Support the development of dashboards, reports and analytical tools to improve visibility and performance tracking. 

  • Contribute to data structuring and management for the category. 

  • Propose and test new ideas leveraging digital tools and Artificial Intelligence to enhance data analytics and procurement efficiency. 

 

Market Intelligence: 

  • Support buyers in understanding market dynamics, supplier landscape and business needs. 

  • Participate in market analysis to identify trends, risks and opportunities impacting the category

About you

  • You are proficient with Microsoft Office (Powerpoint & Excel), SharePoint & PowerBI are a plus. 

  • You are AIsavvy and curious about digital and data-driven innovation. 

  • You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 

  • You are proactive, curious and able to work autonomously on projects. 

  • You have strong communication and interpersonal skills and enjoy working with diverse stakeholders. 

  • You thrive in a multicultural, international and fast-changing environment. 

  • You are eager to learn, challenge yourself and take ownership. 

 

Key requirements:

  • Enrolled as a Bachelor’s or Master’s student in Business, Procurement, Supply Chain, Economics, Engineering or a related field for the entire duration of the internship.
  • Resident of the Netherlands with a valid BSN number. Non-EU citizens must have a valid Dutch residency permit.
  • For non-EU citizens, your university must sign a three-party agreement with Danone.
  • Available to start in July 2026 for a minimum of 6 months, 5 days per week.
  • Able to work from our Danone Place Amsterdam office at least 3 days per week.
