About the job

As Procurement Manager you will be in charge of managing indirect goods and services for Czech Republic and Slovakia. This means managing internal stakeholders and external suppliers and delivering innovative and competitive solutions to support the business continuity and to have the highest possible quality and service level while improving overall financial parameters (profit, cash flow etc).

Procurement Manager – Czech Republic and Slovakia

(Fulltime, Location: Prague, Duration: unlimited)

 

As Procurement Manager your main responsibilities are:  

  • Market/Category intelligence: Continuous market monitoring and benchmarking, to identify new opportunities and mitigate risk related to given category/suppliers.
  • Procurement Strategies Management: Close cooperation with global and regional procurement teams, implement global / regional purchasing category strategies at local level, build the strategies for local categories.
  • Supplier relationship: Build and maintain smooth, constructive supplier relationships by implementing supply and or service agreements considering legal regulation as well as Danone’s T&Cs. Conduct yearly evaluation report with key suppliers.
  • Negotiation: Negotiate spot, short-and long-term needs with suppliers and/or for projects to secure supply while optimizing total cost. Conduct competitive sourcing incl. RFP, negotiation, contract preparation.
  • Budget and cost management: Contribute to budget and forecast preparation by collecting relevant internal spends and needs and market information. Continuous monitoring of spend and market evaluation. Ensures timely submission, accuracy, and consistency of purchasing reports.
  • Compliance management: Ensure that relevant company procedure / policies are kept by conducting ad-hoc checks, control and work closely with Internal Controlling to assure committed targets.
  • Project management: Lead or participate in company’s projects and ensure successful implementation. Challenge need and status quo to define the optimal need. Manage project team from different departments.

About you

We are looking for Procurement Specialist with the following profile:

Experience & Technical Knowledge:

  • Relevant university degree
  • 3-5 years of experience in Purchasing / Procurement - Buyer role.
  • Fluently in Czech / Slovak and English, spoken and written
  • Experience of Sourcing, including processes, ways of working, documentation and compliance requirements etc.
  • Excellent skill in use of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
