Senior Factory Controller

About the job

As a Senior Factory controller, you will be a key member of the factory leadership team, overseeing and managing the financial operations of the factory. You will provide financial insights and support to ensure the plant meets its financial goals and operates efficiently. You will report hierarchically to the site Head of Finance and functionally to the EU Head of Manufacturing Finance. You will be part of the site finance controlling team.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, challenge, and drive the financial strategy for the plant, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Support the plant director and plant leadership team by fostering accountability and a cost-conscious mindset within the plant.
  • Provide strategic support for decision-making with an end-to-end operational focus.
  • Oversee and manage all financial controlling activities, including internal control and audits, and collaborate with accounting and financial reporting teams.
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports, budgets, and forecasts, providing timely and accurate reporting of site performance.
  • Monitor plant operation results against operating plans and direct the preparation of financial, production output, and other reports to measure and control plant activities and costs.
  • Lead the plant capital budgeting process, including CAPEX control and cash flow forecasting.
  • Perform cost analysis and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Manage monthly performance evaluations by setting objectives, analyzing results, and proactively addressing deviations from established goals.
  • Benchmark factories and technologies to identify performance improvement opportunities, aiding in investment decisions and resource allocation initiatives.
  • Drive the productivity program to foster sustainable value creation and goal achievement.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards, coordinating with internal and external auditors.
  • Develop financial models to calculate and track the unitary manufacturing cost for each SKU within the portfolio.
  • Regularly update and refine cost models to ensure accuracy and relevance, incorporating new data and changes in manufacturing processes.
  • Prepare detailed reports and documentation to support transfer pricing policies and standard cost calculations, capturing the cost of complexity at SKU level.
  • Support the execution of the finance digital transformation strategy within the factory, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Be a key actor in the deployment of the IWS methodology on the shopfloor: Coach and animate financial awareness on the shopfloor
  • Lead business case calculations for efficiency and growth projects

About you

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in financial management, preferably in an operations/manufacturing environment.
  • Fluency in Dutch and English, both written and spoken.
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP/PBI preferred) and MS Office.
