Danone Specialized Nutrition is launching a major greenfield investment to build our next‑generation liquid nutrition facility, featuring advanced high‑hygiene, UHT, aseptic, and filling technologies.

The Senior IT OT Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining MES / SCADA solutions within our new manufacturing plant. You will be our go to expert for IT OT & Automation performance. You will collaborate closely with cross functional teams locally and globally in addition to external partners such as systems integrators.

Your will love to proactively configure workflows, integrations, troubleshoot, maintain, document and ensure seamless integration between MES, SAP, automation and other systems. You implement solutions and add value across a range of requirements including design phase, (FDS/SDS), testing (FAT), commission (SAT), implement (IQ /OQ), all IT OT applications including MES following within the Good Automated Manufacturing Practice standard. 

Technical Ownership;

• Serve as the subject matter expert for all industrial OT & Automation requirements for the project.
• Strong MES expertise
• Practical knowledge of and proven application of ISA-88 & ISA - 95 principles in MES design

Project Execution & Commissioning; 

• Support all user and functional requirements
• Road mapping of hardware and application enhancements / upgrades
• integration between OT, MES (AVEVA), SAP, Tekdan and our weighing systems (preferably Siemens PLC’s)
• Leading application issue troubleshooting and modification.
• Completing project and validation methods such as FAT, SAT, and associated documentation 

Cross Functional Collaboration;

• Work closely with internal local and central teams, partners and systems integrators.

Capex Support & IT OT Governance;

• Support IT OT Automations CAPEX package scope, planning & reporting.
• Provide technical input and support to schedule adherence and risk registers.
• Support change control and collaborate with the ITOT Automations team to ensure all changes are fully technically assessed and documented.

Standards, Compliance & Safety

• Ensure adherence with all Danone standards, technical, quality, safety and process standards

Education

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Automation, Electrical, Control, Computer of Industrial I.T Engineering or equivalent Technical discipline.

Experience

• 10 plus years’ experience in food, beverage, specialized nutrition, pharmaceutical or similarly regulated manufacturing environment required.
• Strong MES expertise covering functional design, manufacturing operations workflows, system integration, implementation, operational handover
• At least 10 years of experience on Operational Technologies from sensors, PLC, SCADA, and industrial servers, design, installation, and operation preferably in the food industry
• Experience on processing automation, process description, programming, tests and commissioning 

Skills

• Practical knowledge of ISA-88 & ISA95
• Knowledge of MS SQL server, .NET quickscript, SQL scripting and model driven MES
• Familiarity with process control systems  SAP and networking/communication protocols 
• IEC62443 understanding and preferably certified.
• Critical thinking considering both business and technical aspects for sustainable solutions
• Trusted automation & controls systems expert
• A curious, problem-solving mindset with great attention to detail and ownership
• Good knowledge on deployment on IT OT solutions for Cybersecurity and experience on PLC/SCADA migrations for obsolescence management
• OT cybersecurity knowledge, including IEC 62443 principles

This is a fixed term specified purpose contract for 3 plus years on a Greenfield site implementation project.
