About the job

We are looking to fill the Senior Manager Media and Digital position for Danone Canada.

 

As part of this position, you will be accountable for:

Mission: Guided by Danone Canada's strategy and its brands, the Senior Manager of Media and Digital is responsible for the company’s media investment strategy. The goal is to build admired brands by continuously finding new ways to engage consumers—speaking to each one in a relevant, captivating way that evokes emotion. This role reports to the Media Director and manages a team of 3 managers and analysts.

 

 

More specifically:

• Build, manage and optimize the strategy PAID Media of Danone’s brands to increase its short and medium-term efficacy (Turnover and Net Equity):

  • Recommend the mix, planning and budget the allocations by brand, in coordination with brand managers and media buying agency.
  • Manage and optimize daily media plan.
  • Ensure communication focus by touchpoint
  • Monitor media effectiveness and optimize campaigns  
  • Make necessary recommendations to the brand managers and marketing directors
  • Experiment with MMM solutions
  • Develop business plans with major and emerging media partners locally and globally.
  • Manage the buying media strategies to optimize the buying power of the company.

• Manage the evolution of the digital strategy (Paid, Owned, Earned) of Danone brands in advising the brand managers:

  • Guide brand managers in evolving digital strategies, working closely with the eComm team
  • Being a guarantor of the editorial line (including customers launch pads) and be responsible for the agencies in charge of its implementation and effectiveness.
  • Co-host, with the "community manager" of which he is responsible, participatory spaces (social media, blog etc.) and be a member of the Operational Crisis Management, when applicable. Also including the strategic aspects of consumer communication (call center).
  • Optimize the mix investment sem/seo and content/media for websites, social media and brand partnerships.

• Develop media and digital marketing skills of the marketing and management teams. Accompany the team in its digital and retail media ecosystem and strategies.

• Supporting the brand managers, agencies and its team in the Integrated Campaigns Planning Process (ICP).

• Manage relationships with media, digital and content agencies.

About you

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications and competencies:

• University degree in Commerce with specialization in marketing, media or communication.

• Fluent in English (oral and written) and French (a plus)

• 6 years+ of professional experience in the field of media (media manager), both traditional and digital.

• Ability to build and challenge a media plan. Very strong knowledge of digital platforms (DV360, IAS, Adwords, Vividata etc)

• Business oriented, results and ROI oriented.

• Strategic vision, as well as being skilled at making the strategic development and translate them into actions.

• Ability to effectively lead cross-functional teams (at Danone Canada and with agencies).

• Ability to work in a team (many transversal management internally and externally).

• Sense of innovation & creativity, organization and planning.

• Ability to be creative, able to make proposals and show enthusiasm.
