Senior Project Manager, Japan Plant

About the job

This role is required to lead Mirai capacity expansion project and ensure overall delivery.

  • Lead overall project team from cross disciplines for successful delivery the Mirai project, meeting the project goals. 
  • Establishes the project organization, and responsible for project design and execution including cost, schedule, quality and safety.
  • Govern communication and permitting, Risk management, and Changes control
  • Establish a detailed overview for different phases. Ensures compliance with Danone specifications, local laws and building codes.
  • Ensures successful coordination with site activities and site Masterplan projects. And establish the handover plan to users after project completion. Ensure the successful site acceptance and VSU.
  • Establish the execution strategy and resource management.
  • Prepares and issue project status & performance information on a regular basis. Obtains input and approvals as required.
  • Ensure appropriate consulting and provision of the necessary approvals of technical experts, such as Engineering, QFS, R&I, HSE, IT & OT etc.
  • Ensure the approval process in place of goods and services, including contractor, subcontractor, supplier and consultant selection in accordance with the DOA.
  • Ensure clear instructions and technical requirements as necessary to make sure a thorough understanding by the contractors executing the project.
  • Continuously drive the best practices and prompt safety cultures.

About you

Preferred qualities:

  1. Good understanding and experience of Japan and local cultures
  2. Experiences of working in big capex project and big organizations
  3. Good project management skills
  4. Strong business knowledge and cross-functional team management
  5. Good knowledge in budgeting and capex, safety management, and compliance
