Are you a passionate and detail-oriented Sustainability Specialist? Do you want to support our category teams in building a climate mitigation and adaptation plan? Then join us as our next Sustainable Sourcing Specialist - Ingredients! You will focus on ingredients (commodities, fruit/food, and specialties categories) and play a crucial role in advancing our sustainability initiatives. Your responsibilities will include collecting and validating supplier-specific emission factors, developing decarbonization plans, and supporting comprehensive reporting on CO2, land use change, human rights, water, and biodiversity.

 

Your main responsibilities will be:

1. Sustainability Reporting & Supplier Data Collection and Validation: 
• Develop and implement processes for collecting data from suppliers. 
• Support validation of data accuracy and granularity from suppliers. 
• Support preparing and submission of reports on C02, vDCF, human rights, water risks assessment, and regenerative agriculture.

 

2. Decarbonization Planning & Strategy support: 
• Support collaborations with suppliers to develop Net Zero plans. 
• Monitor and report on the progress of these plans. 
• Assist in the development of the company's climate mitigation and adaptation strategies.


3. Project Management: 
• Independently manage projects to support Category action plan. 
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams & external parties. 
• Track project milestones and deliverables, ensuring timely completion.

About you

To succeed in this role, you need to be detailed oriented and have strong data skills to analyze and interpret data sets. You need to be a team player, with excellent communication skills and project management capabilities. You also need to be pro-active, have strong problem solving skills, and hold a passion about sustainability & environmental stewardship.


You also have
• Master's degree preferred in Sustainability, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field.
• Background in sustainability, finance, supply chain management, or procurement.
• Min 2-3 years of experience in Procurement, or strongly related field.
• Proficiency in Excel and Power Bi.
• Experience with GHG accounting.
• Knowledge of sustainability reporting standards; especially related to SBTi 1.5 FLAG and GHG LSRg reporting.
• Understanding of decarbonization strategies.
• Agility to operate in complex organization with many internal and external stakeholders.
