Tax Development Analyst is responsible for managing and enhancing employee tax processes, ensuring compliance with applicable tax regulations, analyzing tax impacts on employee compensation and benefits, and providing tax advisory support related to payroll, mobility, and employee-related tax matters. The role aims to mitigate tax risks, improve operational efficiency, and ensure accurate and timely tax reporting and compliance.
Overview responsibilities
Employee Tax Compliance & Reporting
Review and validate employee tax calculations, including payroll taxes, benefits-in-kind, allowances, and other taxable compensation components.
Work closely with the payroll vendor to ensure accurate employee tax calculations.
Ensure compliance with applicable employee tax regulations and internal company policies.
Support the preparation, reconciliation, and submission of employee tax filings and reports within statutory deadlines.
Monitor employee tax compliance activities and address any issues or discrepancies identified.
Tax Process Development & Improvement
Collaborate with payroll, HR, finance, and external vendors to streamline employee tax administration processes.
Analyze existing employee tax processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
Participate in tax-related system enhancements, testing, implementation, and automation initiatives.
Tax Advisory & Regulatory Monitoring
Monitor changes in tax laws, regulations, and government policies affecting employees and payroll taxation.
Assess the impact of regulatory changes and provide recommendations for implementation.
Provide guidance and advisory support on employee tax matters, including payroll, benefits, expatriate taxation, and international mobility programs.
Support stakeholders in interpreting and applying tax regulations appropriately.
Participate in tax-related projects involving payroll transformation, system implementation, policy changes, and compliance initiatives.
Coordinate with internal stakeholders, tax consultants, and government authorities when required.
Prepare tax analyses, reports, and presentations to support management decision-making.
Act as a subject matter expert for employee tax matters within the organization.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Tax, Finance, or a related field.
Professional tax certification (Brevet A & B/C or equivalent) is an advantage.
Strong knowledge of tax regulations, employee taxation, and payroll processes.
Experience with payroll systems and tax reporting tools.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and data analysis.
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
High integrity, attention to detail, and strong compliance orientation.
Proactive, adaptable, and collaborative with a customer-focused mindset toward internal stakeholders.
