For EU First Diet Research & Innovation (R&I) we are looking for a R&I Product Manager to join the Firts Diet Food team focused on meals and fruits desserts products.

Position in the organization

Part of R&I Europe, the EU IDDC ( Innovation Design to Delivery Center) teams are managing 2 categories: Wet Food ( Meals , fruits and dairy ) and Dry Food ( cereals , pasta) , targeting mainly European babies. You will be reporting to a R&I Product Manager.

The position is based in Opole in Poland.

About the Job
You will work in cross-functional project teams to deliver new product innovations and renovations for the European First diet Wet food Plateform and to ensure the maintenance of the portfolio (secure, productivity, compliance).

You will be the R&I voice in project teams. You will work with various stakeholders: local R&I, Marketing, IRO Project leaders, User Experience, Internal factories, and external stakeholders (3rd Party Manufacturers).

You will be in charge of product development for wet food produced internally in Brive-La-Gaillarde (France) and in Opole (Poland), and also for some wet products produced by 3rd Party Manufacturers (located in France , Spain....).

The product types are sterilized or pasteurized foods. They can be vegetable, fruits, dairy based to cover baby’s diet or they can also be sterilized wet food for medical purposes.

Your main responsibilities

As a Product Manager you will be responsible to manage the development and the implementation of the new recipes for renovation, innovation, cost improvement, secure and quality related projects in accordance with Danone mission and principles.
You will
-Ensure that our products offer a superior experience VS main competitors
-Ensure that our wet products are compliant with our internal quality & nutritional standards and regulations.
-Ensure products can be implemented on production scale to achieve targeted product performance and operational efficiencies.
-Contribute to root cause analysis for structural non compliances and bring smart solutions

About you

You are a team player with strong skills in Food Sciences.

You have a natural behavior in challenging things to upgrade collective knowledge, results and to explore new territories to contribute to a great and superior consumer experience.

You can easily connect with cross functional departments and you are strong in stakeholder management.

You have strong communication skills with and can easily build effective working relationships. For this role it is important to have a proactive attitude with a strong eye for detail.

You are able to propose and take presonnal initiative , to quickly understand objectives and independently manage the delivery of results.

In addition, you fit this role perfectly because you are/have:
• Master’s degree in food technology, food science or food engineering
• Work experience in a similar position in an R&D environment in Food Industry (ideally on baby food product, wet product)
• Analytical, result driven.
• Interested in fact & figures and statistics (Data management)
• Interest in analytical methods
• Good communication skills in English

Are you eligible for a V.I.E?  

V.I.E is a type of contract linked to Business France (French public organism) allowing Europeans to work internationally for a designated company. This is a 6 to 24 months contract.  

• You must be aged 18 to 28. You must have completed national service obligation. 
• You must be a citizen of the European Economic Area. 
• You must have never worked in the country in which you wish to do your V.I.E.  
• You have never done a V.I.E before.

• You will be granted with 2,5 days off per month.
