I STARTED OUT EXPLORING NEW WATER
Away From Home was like a speedboat exploring new waters for Danone's mothership. We identified emerging trends and new business ideas in food service, testing innovations that could later scale to retail. But next to pushing performance, I’ve experienced how Danone combines it with responsibility as a B Corp certified company. For example, I volunteered alongside other Danoners at sports events for children and saw for myself how the company supports local communities.
CONNECTIONS OPENED UP MY WORLD
On the Young Danone board, I worked with six people from different offices to create events, networking and knowledge sharing. One highlight was spending time with Danone's European President. He spent time answering questions and inspiring all of us. It was great to have someone at that level take the time to connect with younger employees.
MOVING TO RETAIL
My recent move to Retail has significantly broadened my scope and exposure to different customers, categories and commercial challenges. Working closely with Key Account Managers, I see everything from strategy and negotiations to execution and performance evaluation. I enjoy understanding how retailers operate, what drives category growth and how decisions translate into results on the shelf.
SHAPING MY OWN JOURNEY
This broader perspective is helping me develop my commercial and strategic capabilities. When I identify areas I want to develop, I research training opportunities to discuss with my manager as I continue building a rewarding career within Danone.
