Job Summary 

 

At Danone, Manufacturing the best products and supplying them to meet demand is a key driver for our plant teams.   We are currently looking to hire a Bottles Operator based in City of Industry, CA 

 

Bottle Operator ensures the highest quality product is being produced through various automated machine processes. Additionally, solves a multitude of problems that arise and cleans all equipment through CIP and SIP. Finallyfollows all safety procedures as stated in GMP, safety standards, plant rules, and code of ethics. 

 

 

Key Responsibilities 

As a key member of our team, you will play an important role in driving our mission forward. The following responsibilities outline the core expectations and contributions for this position: 

 

  • Ensure all paperwork is filled out in a clear, legible and accurate format and completed with all required information 
  • Effectively tear down, set-up, monitor, operate, changeover and clean applicable equipment and provide quality inspections on all related items to include but not limited to OQI, weight checks, compliance with product specs, etc. 
  • Ensure clean and inspect standards are up to date and completed in a timely manner 
  • Ensure lubrication standards are up to date and completed in a timely fashion; maintain lubrication logs 
  • Maintain working knowledge of all value stream equipment to include all support equipment, ability to troubleshoot, tighten, make minor adjustments and repairs using basic tools 
  • Completes PM’s and other routine operator maintenance tasks; assist in diagnostics, repairs and rebuilds of machines; partner with maintenance or others on non-routine repairs and defect handling. 
  • Monitor equipment for malfunctions and defects, repairing and solving minor problems without assistance and eliminating potential threats to production through maintaining equipment. 
  • Communicate effectively and partner with supervisors and maintenance personnel regarding recurring problems and needs for repair 
  • Take part in PM’s and utilize the Root Cause thought process to ensure corrective actions are sustainable 
  • Maintain communication with other departments, management and employees and notify them of any problems and/or concerns 
  • Utilizing continuous improvement mindset, actively participate in identifying and correcting opportunities to improve processes including participation in the creation and documentation of Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions, the creation and maintenance of preventative maintenance standards, the writing of One Point Lessons, and participation in continuous improvement methodology events 
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices and 5S methodology to maintain a clean, sanitary and safe work area, maintaining audit ready status at all times 
  • Actively participate in Pillar activities (i.e. Quality, Focused Improvement, Safety, etc.) including but not limited to observations, inspections, and recommendations. 
  • Works diligently to achieve line efficiency goals 
  • Assist, train, and coach employees 
  • Supports plant production needs and priorities to achieve plant goals 
  • Facilitate, attend and participate in team meetings and programs 
  • Comply with all policies and procedures 
  • All other duties as assigned or become evident

About You: 

 

The ideal candidate will bring a combination of education, experience, and skills that enable them to excel in this position. The following qualifications outline what we’re looking for, including both required and preferred criteria: 

 

Education & Experience: 

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) 
  • One to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: 

Knowledge: 

  • Knows all the safety rules, plant rules, GMP, and code of ethics and follows them strictly at all time. 

 

Skills: 

  • Ability to read, and interpret data from charts, graphs, and instruments, and compute rate, ratio, and percent and to identify any digressions 
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals 
  • Ability to use calculator to solve basic formulas 
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, schedules, ingredients, recipes, safety procedures, emergency procedures, chemicals labels, graphs, charts, reports, and computer monitors 
  • Ability to effectively communicate specific information using verbal and simple hand signals to team members, leads, customers, supervisors, and state officials in a noisy environment 

 

Abilities: 

  • Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. 
  • Ability to work with others, to complete regulatory duties. 
  • Ability to multi-task and time-manage themselves. 
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. 
  • Ability to perform small repairs to machinery. 
  • Ability to strategically think in terms of process improvement.  
  • Able to think quickly on their feet, especially in emergency situations. 
  • Ability to add and complete work from other processors as needed. 

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: 

  • Forklift OSHA certification on stand-up forklift
