Job Summary 

At Danone, manufacturing the best products and supplying them to meet demand is a key driver for our plant teams. We are currently looking to hire a Finance Intern based on West Jordan, UT! As a Finance Intern, you will support the Plant Finance team through financial analysis, reporting, and process improvement initiatives. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gain an understanding of manufacturing operations, assist with research and analysis projects, and translate operational activities into meaningful financial insights. This role provides hands-on experience in plant finance while supporting business objectives and continuous improvement efforts.  

 

Key Responsibilities 

As a key member of our team, you will play an important role in driving our mission forward. The following responsibilities outline the core expectations and contributions for this position: 

 

  • Supporting Plant Finance day-to-day activities through data collection, analysis, reporting, and administration support.  
  • Conducting research, analysis, and continuous improvement projects aligned with department and plant objectives 
  • Partnering with cross-functional teams to understand manufacturing processes and their impact on plant financial performance.  
  • Analyzing operational and financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.  
  • Preparing reports, presentations, and recommendations to support business decision-making.  
  • Presenting project findings, financial analysis, and solution proposals to team members and plant leadership. 
  • Participating in job shadowing and learning opportunities across multiple departments to gain knowledge of plant operations.  
  • Maintaining accurate records and reporting documentation while adhering to company policies and procedures. 
  • Collaborating with team members to support department initiatives and special projects. 
  • Performing other duties as assigned.  

 

Physical Demands  

  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.  
  • Ability to use a computer, keyboard, and other office equipment for prolonged periods.  
  • Ability to occasionally bend, reach, stoop, and lift or carry up to 25 pounds.  
  • Ability to move throughout the office and manufacturing environments safely.  
  • Ability to communicate effectively in person, by phone, and electronically.  
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) when entering manufacturing areas.  

 

 

Work Environment 

  • Work in both office and manufacturing plant environments.  
  • Regular exposure to active production operations, including forklift traffic and material handling activities.  
  • May be exposed to loud noise level, wet floors, condensation, agricultural odors, and varying temperatures within the facility.  
  • May be exposed to chemicals, heavy machinery, steam pipelines, and other manufacturing-related hazards while following established safety procedures.  
  • Must comply with all safety, food safety, quality, and company policies while working in a manufacturing environment.  

 

Engagement in our Integrated Work Systems 

Ensure adherence to plant standards and procedures (including but not limited to GMP, AIB, FDA, IWS, Quality, Safety, Finance, ISO, HOPE, Danone Behaviors, Daily Direction Setting, Driving OE). As a fundamental piece of the organization, your responsibility is to participate and own the implementation and deployment of IWS system and its pillars (Leadership foundation, Daily Direction Setting, Driving OE; Autonomous Maintenance; planned Maintenance; Focused Improvement; Education and Training; Environmental, Health and Safety; Quality; Organization; Supply Network; Early Equipment Management) with the objective of owning your space, owning your performance (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Mobilization, Nature) and owning your continuous improvement.     

 

Compensation & Benefits: 

Base compensation for this position is $25.00/hr.

The ideal candidate will bring a combination of education, experience, and skills that enable them to excel in this position. The following qualifications outline what we’re looking for, including both required and preferred criteria: 

 

Education & Experience: 

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.  
  • Previous internship, project, leadership, or campus organization experience preferred.  
  • Experience with data analysis, financial modeling, or reporting tools preferred. 

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel preferred.  
  • Basic understanding of accounting, finance, and business principles.  
  • Interest in manufacturing operations and plant finance processes.  
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and identify trends.  
  • Effective written communication skills, including the ability to prepare reports and presentations.  
  • Strong verbal communication and presentation skills with the ability to communicate across all levels of the organization.  
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.  
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.  
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while meeting deadlines and objectives 
  • Demonstrate initiative, curiosity, and a continuous improvement mindset.  
  • Ability to learn new systems, processes, and business concepts quickly.  
  • Ability to analyze complex information and translate findings into actionable recommendations.  
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
