We have an opening for a Production Supervisor, Nights based in Jacksonville, Florida! This role is responsible for all aspects of leading and managing the night shift production team.  Incumbents are responsible for ensuring that daily, weekly, and monthly production KPIs are met for Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Mobilization, Nature and Growth. Role will maintain a schedule of 6pm until 630am on a 2-2-3 schedule.  This is a complex, fast paced beverage production setting.

Key Responsibilities

As a key member of our team, you will play an important role in driving our mission forward. The following responsibilities outline the core expectations and contributions for this position:

  • You will train, coach, mentor, and provide feedback/recognition to employees
  • You will ensure that set standards are adhered to at all times with regard to Safety and Quality
  • You will lead the team by ensuring daily focus on SQCDMN (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Mobilization, Nature) 
  • You will be responsible for monitoring the performance and corrective actions for the Night shift production team, ensuring that information boards are updated. 
  • You will review long-term data trends and facilitate remedial activities using CI methodologies to determine root cause and restoration 
  • You will ensure that corrective measures are complete for all areas within the production department, for assigned shift.
  • You will develop staffing/scheduling plans to ensure that bottlenecks are removed and all delivery commitments are met on time and in full
  • You will champion the deployment of business systems
  • You will Lead / facilitate / participate in continuous improvement events 
  • You will communicate effectively across all levels of the organization, keeping teams updated regarding issues affecting performance 
  • You will lead the team and manage any employee relation matters, with guidance sought from HR

Physical Demands

  • This role is primarily performed on the manufacturing and production floor with some standard office setting work which requires sitting in an office environment.
  • The employee may be exposed to moderate noise levels from manufacturing environment

Work Environment

  • Work is performed in a manufacturing environment with exposure to moderate noise and temperature variations.
  • Work schedules could include nights, weekends and/or holidays to provide the ability to support a 24/7 manufacturing environment as business needs dictate. 

Engagement in our Integrated Work Systems

Ensure adherence to plant standards and procedures (including but not limited to GMP, AIB, FDA, IWS, Quality, Safety, Finance, ISO, HOPE, Danone Behaviors, Daily Direction Setting, Driving OE). As a fundamental piece of the organization, your responsibility is to participate and own the implementation and deployment of IWS system and its pillars (Leadership foundation, Daily Direction Setting, Driving OE; Autonomous Maintenance; planned Maintenance; Focused Improvement; Education and Training; Environmental, Health and Safety; Quality; Organization; Supply Network; Early Equipment Management) with the objective of owning your space, owning your performance (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Mobilization, Nature) and owning your continuous improvement.    

 

Compensation & Benefits:

The salary range for this position is $85,000 – $110,000 USD. The exact salary offered will depend on several factors, including the candidate’s relevant experience, geographic location, internal equity, and market conditions.  Danone North America additionally offers a performance-based bonus and has a strong benefits package including Medical, Dental, Vision, Prescription Drug Coverage, 401k Plan, Wellness Program, Life Insurance, Tuition Reimbursement, Flexible Time Off, and Paid Parental Bonding Leave, among other benefit plan options. The ideal candidate will bring a combination of education, experience, and skills that enable them to excel in this position. The following qualifications outline what we’re looking for, including both required and preferred criteria:

 

Education & Experience:

  • You have a high school diploma or GED, required.  A bachelor’s degree in business, engineering or related field is preferred.
  • You are a seasoned people leader and have at least 5 years of supervisory experience within a food/beverage manufacturing environment, preferred.   Prior experience within beverage processing is preferred.
  • You have knowledge with lean manufacturing / continuous improvement principles, such as IWS, TPM, or six sigma, preferred. 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • You have clear and concise verbal and written communication skills, and have the ability to multitask
  • You have strong leadership skills and have demonstrated ability to build strong, effective teams.
  • You have the ability to mentor and develop productive staff and the ability to work with individuals at all levels of the organization.
