Would you like to work at the heart of the Global HQ of Nutricia/Danone within the Adult Medical Affairs team? Are you able to contribute to our product communication and innovation, engage with your stakeholders, and deliver input to our medical strategy? In this challenging role you will be responsible tactically and operationally for managing the medical activities of projects in elderly care. One of the main goals will be to achieve an aligned plan of action with our country affiliates and help to drive the company and category vision of Nutricia and the brand objectives.
This role is part of the Nutricia Global Medical Affairs team, which operates within Danone’s Specialized Nutrition division. While Danone’s broader Global Medical Affairs organization spans multiple categories—including Dairy, Waters, and Plant-Based—Nutricia Medical Affairs is dedicated exclusively to medical nutrition. Our focus is on delivering science-based nutritional solutions that support patients across all life stages, from early life to ageing populations.
As part of this team, you’ll contribute to shaping evidence-based strategies, building medical credibility, and improving access to specialized nutrition that transforms lives.
Key responsibilities:
Maintain high level of knowledge on disease-related malnutrition (and relevant aspects of medical nutrition and the health care environment) & frailty
Participate in projects to renovate/innovate products and services, ensure link to medical & market reality through delivering and generating insights and providing input into market research
Address internal & external nutritional and dietetic questions related to our product portfolio
Expert input in the Elderly Care medical and clinical nutrition strategy
Develop clear overviews and analysis of existing of evidence base and guidelines in frailty
Communication
Create and deliver presentations both internally and externally on the evidence base and clinical applicability of our products in DRM, and contribute to the development of position statements and other communication materials
Develop rationales, Q&A, dossiers, claims substantiation, storylines and content for communication materials (including sales training materials, HCP materials, patient materials) to support product value proposition, positioning, messaging for new and existing products
Stakeholder engagement
Support in mapping opinion leaders and other key stakeholders in elderly care
Contribute to the organization and implementation of KOL, HCP and patient events, meetings and education (symposia, Advisory Boards, HCP Study days, roundtables, etc.)
You hold a Master’s or PhD degree in Dietetics, Nutrition & Life Sciences, or a related para-medical field, and bring at least 2–3 years of relevant experience in a healthcare, clinical, or commercial setting. With a strong foundation in medical nutrition, you are passionate about translating science into practice and thrive in a dynamic, cross-functional environment where collaboration, agility, and purpose drive impact.
If you are our ideal candidate, you also need the following:
Preferably clinical experience in Nutrition or Dietetics in hospital community care settings or management of malnutrition and/or older patient care
Strong nutritional background and experience translating scientific information to different audiences
Excellent communication skills with the ability to easily interact with people (both internally and externally) and in translating scientific information to different audiences
Strong experience in HCP communication and medical education including in congress and events
Fluency in business English, written and oral
*This is an on-site role based in the Netherlands. Candidates must already reside in the Netherlands or be willing to relocate. Remote work is not possible due to the collaborative and cross-functional nature of the position.
