Our Summer Internship Experience (SIE) is a 10-week program that allows students to dive into a project relevant to their studies to further grow and develop their learnings. During our 10-week program you will participate in trainings, development sessions, as well as lots of exciting programming!

 

The dates of our 2026 Program will be June 1st, 2026– August 7th, 2026.

 

As a Tax intern with the tax department of Danone North America, PBC, you will assist the indirect tax team with monthly compliance and research as well as the Direct tax team with corporate tax compliance and provisions.  This is a great opportunity to work at a world-renowned industry leader and gain exposure to local, state, federal, and international taxation while administering various tax projects.

 

Responsibilities may include:

Indirect Tax Compliance

  • Support the Indirect tax team with sales and use tax returns, along with respective payments via direct debit
  • Prepare GST/QST returns for monthly Canadian compliance
  • Update Indirect tax calendar for US and Canada as needed
  • Reconcile Indirect tax accounts related to sales and use tax and property tax
  • Assist with Indirect tax research for US and Canada

Direct Tax Compliance

  • Work alongside the tax team to prepare workpapers for income tax returns and cash tax forecast
  • Assist with federal and state income tax provisions, along with requisite analyses of tax account
  • Assist with indirect tax compliance, such as sales and use tax
  • Support federal, state and local tax audits

 

The salary range for this position is $35.00–$50.00 per hour (USD).

To support flexibility, Danone operates in a hybrid work environment. For this role, the work is primarily remote, though occasional in‑person meetings at our corporate headquarters in White Plains, NY may be required.

About you

  • Current student pursuing a master’s degree in taxation or accounting, or newly graduate with the degree
  • Excellent quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
  • Enjoys simplifying concepts, producing innovative recommendations and outcomes
  • Intellectually curious and results-driven for the industry and corporate taxation
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Experience with Power BI, desired but not required
  • Knowledge of SAP and OneSource desired but not required
  • CPA licensure highly desired but not required
