Danone US is formalizing a dedicated Competitive Intelligence (CI) capability to deliver proactive, coordinated, and actionable intelligence that informs strategy and drives faster, better decisions. We are looking for a Senior Manager to lead this initiative. The key responsibilities for this role include. 

  • Build & evolve the CI capability: Define scope, operating model, and KPIs; refining with stakeholder feedback over time
  • Program leadership: Create workplans, orchestrate cross-functional inputs, manage deliverables end-to-end, and communicate progress and impact to senior stakeholders
  • Governance & routines: Stand up, govern and execute routines including leading task force teams and deep dives; align resources and ensure clear inputs → synthesis → implications → actions
  • Signal capture & tooling: Standardize and monitor signal capture templates and channels; develop and manage dashboards and synthesize data
  • Assessments & recommendations: Lead fact-based assessments and translate insights into concrete “What We Can Learn” implications and recommended actions
  • Thought partnership and effective collaboration: Act as a strategic partner to cross-functional partners; embed CI into planning cycles and leadership forums.

The ideal candidate excels in ambiguous situations, demonstrates initiative independently, thinks strategically and acts pragmatically.  They combine a builder’s mindset with a synthesizer’s instinct—excited to create from scratch, make sense of emerging signals, and turn complexity into strategic clarity.  They will bring the following knowledge, skills and experience to the role.

  • Strategic & analytical rigor: Strong business acumen and strategic mindset. Experience with defining strategic problems, developing hypotheses, structuring analyses, and synthesizing crisp narratives with business implications
  • Market/Category fluency: Working knowledge across US CPG consumers, categories and trends; comfort combining market, consumer, and customer signals
  • Influence without authority: Lead across levels/functions; drive alignment and decisions in ambiguous contexts
  • Adaptable and Curious: Thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic business environment; bring structure and action to ambiguity 
  • Communication excellence: Executive-ready, influential storytelling (written & verbal), with clear “so what,” options, and recommended actions
  • Program management: Experience leading complex, cross functional initiatives in CPG or top tier consulting with end-to-end ownership and ability to design and facilitate scenario planning sessions
  • Tools & data comfort: Proficiency with syndicated sources (e.g., Circana, SPINS, Nielsen) and ability to connect disparate datasets into a single POV
  • Self-Directed and Motivated Doer: Stays organized and driven to ensure progress of own & teams; Ability to work well as part of a fast-paced team 

The salary range for this position is $130,000 – $175,000 USD. The exact salary offered will depend on several factors, including the candidate’s relevant experience, geographic location, internal equity, and market conditions.  Danone North America additionally offers a performance-based bonus and has a strong benefits package including Medical, Dental, Vision, Prescription Drug Coverage, 401k Plan, Wellness Program, Life Insurance, Tuition Reimbursement, Flexible Time Off, and Paid Parental Bonding Leave, among other benefit plan options. About you

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree required (Marketing or Business-related field); MBA preferred 
  • 8+ years in strategy/general management/analytical roles in CPG or management consulting; proven track record leading cross‑functional programs and influencing senior stakeholders
  • Demonstrated proficiency with syndicated data (Circana, SPINS, Nielsen)
  • Proven track record of progressively increasing leadership responsibilities and building effective relationships with key stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to drive strategic decision-making and foster a collaborative environment
  • Ability to work in either of Danone’s White Plains, NY or Louisville, CO offices (hybrid schedule)
