Position Description:

As part of the North American Procurement team, this position is responsible for key day-to-day activities that support several programs and reporting streams contributing to the Danone Impact Journey.

 

The primary responsibilities of this role include collecting and analyzing data and identifying and implementing process improvements to support Danone North America’s carbon reduction roadmap and carbon reporting campaign, Sustainable Sourcing Policy and RESPECT program, and supplier diversity program. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Procurement Sustainability, this role will interact closely with the North America Procurement Team and the Mission and Sustainability Team as well as global program leads and SMEs within the Danone group.  This position will be based in Louisville, CO.

 

 Responsibilities:

  • Collect and validate data to support environmental and social reporting schemes, in line with reporting standards and Danone-developed methodology
  • Support tracking and project management of cross-functional projects to deliver Danone’s carbon roadmap, in collaboration with Mission and Sustainability Team.
  • Oversee tracking of key KPIs for sustainability initiatives for procurement leaders and buyers.
  • Coordinate day-to-day activities required by Danone North America’s responsible sourcing program, including tracking status and managing buyer and supplier communications
  • Identify, implement, and document process improvement initiatives for sustainability programs. Contribute to strategy development and culture building initiatives across sustainability topics.
  • Support Procurement and cross-functional teams in conducting “carbon impact assessments” on key projects, using Danone-developed or third-party tools
  • Support Senior Manager of Procurement Sustainability in facilitating workshops with key stakeholders on topics such as carbon reduction, responsible sourcing, and supplier diversity

 

The salary range for this position is $79,000 – $114,000 USD. The exact salary offered will depend on several factors, including the candidate’s relevant experience, geographic location, internal equity, and market conditions.  Danone North America additionally offers a performance-based bonus and has a strong benefits package including Medical, Dental, Vision, Prescription Drug Coverage, 401k Plan, Wellness Program, Life Insurance, Tuition Reimbursement, Flexible Time Off, and Paid Parental Bonding Leave, among other benefit plan options. About you

Education and Experience (Requirements):

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Sustainability, Engineering, or a related field with a focus on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), social and environmental metrics and reporting, or similar
  • 3-5 years combined work and/or internship experience required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong experience with analyzing data and forming insights, actions, and strategies.
  • Previous experience in operations or procurement role(s)
  • Strong communicator, comfortable in engaging internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong Project Management & Organizational skills
  • Collaborative in spirit and people-focused
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, experience with PowerBI a plus
  • Passion for social and environmental impact and willingness + aptitude to learn in an evolving space
  • Familiarity with GHG Protocol and SBTi and/or past experience completing carbon reporting a plus but not required
  • Exposure to sustainability/CSR topics such as human rights, ethical sourcing, and supplier diversity
