About the Job

This role is part of our Quality Systems team within our Specialized Nutrition factory located in Zoetermeer and reports directly to the Quality Systems Manager and works together with many departments within Supply Point Zoetermeer as well as other parts of Danone (CBU's, PD, Global Regulatory and other SP's).

In this factory (with over 500 Danoners) we produce specialized liquid medical nutrition contributing to the well-being of vulnerable target groups (infants, elderly and sick) in over 55 countries. 
 

Your main responsibilities

As Compliance Officer you maintain and continuously improve our quality and food safety management system to ensure uncompromising food safety, specified quality, and regulatory compliance.

Next to this you will be responsible for:

• Make sure that de Regulatory compliance is met according local, national, and international regulations.
• Develop, implement, and maintain a robust Quality Management System (QMS).

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of quality-related activities and documentation.

• Manage, coordinate and execute the internal and external audit program. Follow up with CAPA by collaborating with different departments.
• Provide training to employees on quality standards, regulations, and the importance of compliance.
• Identify potential risks related to quality and compliance and develop strategies to mitigate these risks and implement risk assessment processes.
• Change management: assess and follow up of changes.
• Collaboration with Regulatory agencies and authorities.
• Recommend and implement continuous improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the quality management system.
• Communicate regularly with management and relevant stakeholders regarding the status of quality compliance.
• Investigate and document incidents related to quality issues and implement actions.
• Promote a quality and food safety culture: interact with all levels within the organization to instruct, coach and advise on quality and food safety.
• As Deputy of the Food defense coordinator you set up, maintain and manage a multi-disciplinary food defense team.

About you

About You

We are looking for someone with a Bachelor or Master degree in Food Technology or quality discipline and at least 5 years of working experience.
In addition, you fit this role perfectly because you are/have:

  • Ability to communicate effectively to all stakeholders and external parties as well having training skills;
  • Knowledge of food safety legislation and food safety issues;
  • Trained and experienced in auditing, lead auditor certification is a plus;
  • Accurate and structured way of working;
  • Digital mindset and knowledge of Excel and PowerBi is a plus;
  • Dutch & English fluent in speaking and writing;
  • Knowledge of quality and food safety management systems (e.g. HACCP, ISO, GMP, GLP, BRC, IFS) is a plus.
