"Corporate responsibility does not end at the factory gate or at the office door. It influences de quality of life for everyone".
This words were pronounced by the first CEO of Danone, Antoine Riboud, during a groundbreaking speech in 1972 at the Marseille Economic Forum. He outlined his vision of a "dual project" for businesses, emphasizing the importance of balancing economic success with social and environmental responsibility. Companies should strive to achieve profitability while also serving employees fulfilment and the interests of society and environment, this is the base of who we are today as a company.
Danone joined the B-Corp movement in 2015, committing to being one of the first multinationals to be globally certified - today +82,5% of our sales globally are B Corp certified.
Being B Corp means to be part of a select movement of companies verified to be meeting the highest standards of social and environmental criteria and using business as a force for good.
The Danone Impact Journey, our sustainability roadmap is a clear, simple and impactful plan owned by everyone - and based on three interconnected pillars; Health, Nature and People & Communities.
Our sustainability efforts are being recognized; In 2023 we received for the 5th time in a row, a triple A rating from CDP (global non-profit disclosure system for worldwide companies) - making us one of the only 10 companies (out of 21.000) to do so!
We strive to align our future culture with these beliefs. By reflecting the diversity of our customers and patients, we can serve them better.
At Danone, we place significant value on collaboration and social interaction in the workplace. We prioritize people by giving importance to networks and relationships over process and structure. We understand the significance of our differences, which is why we focus on building inclusive and diverse teams and promoting their well-being.
