About the job

At Danone, manufacturing the best products and supplying them to meet demand is a key driver of our plant teams. We are currently looking to hire a Plant Administrator based in West Jordan, UT!

 

The Plant Administrator provides comprehensive administrative support for a manufacturing facility or approximately 400 employees. The role requires strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills. Standard work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, including a 30-minutes unpaid meal period.

 

Key Responsibilities

As a key member of our team, you will play an important role in driving our mission forward. The following responsibilities outline the core expectations and contributions for this position: 

  • Being the "Face of Danone" responsible for granting access to a secured manufacturing plant, greeting guests, facilitating the visitor sign in program, and connecting them with their Danone contact. 
  • Working with the plant Safety Manager to maintain and organize PPE and safety supplies at the front desk and provide visitors and contractors with the appropriate equipment. 
  • Administering the Visitor/Contractor Safety Training. 
  • Managing the security badge system - issuing new/replacement badges and/or granting access to the plant for employees, visitors, and contractors. 
  • Answering phone calls and directing callers to the appropriate person/department. 
  • Assisting HR and other departments with administrative duties such as copying, scanning, faxing, laminating, and hole punching documents, labeling file folders, checking/sorting incoming mail/deliveries and other special projects (as assigned).
  • Maintaining and tracking employee lockers and CINTAS uniform support. 
  • Auditing office supply inventory. 
  • Coffee supply management - including orders and stocking. 
  • Maintain front desk, break room, gym, and mini conference rooms - including posting room reservation sheets. 
  • Update internal plant communications (Screenfluence, table toppers, handwashing stations, time clocks, kiosk room, and posters) and prepare communication/slides, as needed. 
  • Coordinating/scheduling meetings and conferences to include catering orders. 
  • Prepare swag for New Employee Onboarding, Career Fairs, or Engagement Events including the management of vending machine coupons. 
  • Any and all other duties as assigned by HR or the Leadership Team.

Physical Demands

  • While performing duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; stoop; kneel; crouch; crawl; taste and/or smell, talk, and hear. 
  • Ability to bend & stoop at waist level as well as bend & twist neck and head. 
  • The employee must regularly ensure repetitive minimal to moderate lifting up to 20 lbs. 
  • Requires normal range of hearing and vision (including colors) to record, prepare and communicate appropriate reports and results. 
  • Occasionally may need to climb stairs. 
  • Work will take place in an office setting environment where prolonged sitting may occur.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. The employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals and may be exposed to loud noises in the plant. The employee occasionally works in high, precarious places and is occasionally exposed to extreme cold, risk of electrical shock and vibration.

The ideal candidate will bring a combination of education, experience, and skills that enable them to excel in this position. The following qualifications outline what we're looking for, including both required and preferred criteria:

 

Education & Experience

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D required
  • 3+ years' experience in customer service, administrative or clerical positions required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and varying priorities simultaneously and with varying degrees of supervision.
  • Ability to work effectively with other in a team-based environment. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Strong Computer skills (Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, i.e. Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
  • Attention to detail and passion for helping build a safe work environment.
