Danone MENA is looking for a talented Consumer Brand Manager - Aptamil, MENA to drive consumer marketing strategies for Aptamil across the MENA region, accelerating brand growth and equity. This role champions the development and execution of consumer-centric plans, ensuring Aptamil’s leadership in specialized nutrition for children in the First 1000 Days. The Consumer Brand Manager serves both business and consumer agendas, fostering healthy development and brand trust.
ROLE PROFILE
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
To develop and execute consumer marketing strategies for Aptamil across the MENA region, accelerating brand growth, equity, and profitability. The Consumer Brand Manager champions consumer-centric plans and innovative activations, ensuring Aptamil’s leadership in specialized nutrition for children in the First 1000 Days.
BUSINESS CONTEXT & KEY CHALLENGES
- Accelerate Aptamil’s market share and brand equity in a highly competitive and regulated category.
- Build credibility and emotional connection with parents and caregivers through impactful campaigns.
- Align cross-functionally with Medical Affairs, Sales, Regulatory, Finance, Supply Chain, and HR for optimal execution.
- Navigate frequent changes in industry requirements and consumer trends.
- Drive innovation and portfolio expansion through consumer insights and market opportunities.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
**Brand Plans & Executions
- Support the development and execution of consumer brand plans and campaigns.
- Implement integrated communication strategies (ATL, BTL, digital, social).
- Align with local marketing teams on consumer activation, sampling, and engagement plans.
- Ensure consistency and alignment with medical marketing activities.
- Support regional and international consumer events and partnerships.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations and the WHO code.
**Performance Analysis & Tracking
- Assist in managing consumer marketing budgets.
- Monitor brand performance (market share, net sales, brand health metrics).
- Track competitive activities and support proactive/reactive strategies.
- Analyze post-campaign results, ROI, and recommend corrective actions.
- Coordinate market research and consumer insights activities.
**Project & Stakeholder Management
- Support innovation projects from ideation to launch.
- Coordinate with global, supply chain, finance, and regulatory for timely launches.
- Manage agency relationships and day-to-day operations.
- Liaise with medical affairs, trade, and sales teams for standardized execution.
- Prepare presentations for internal and external stakeholders.

- Market share growth in key countries
- Net sales growth
- Brand profitability
- Brand awareness, recommendations, and perceptions (consumer KPIs)
- Strategic risks mitigated
- Timely achievement of brand plan objectives and projects
- Improvement in Net Promoter Score for consumer events
- Marketing plans delivered within budget and strategic scope
JOB DIMENSIONS
Direct impact on marketing effectiveness and net sales delivery for Aptamil across MENA.
Strategic Contribution - Contributor to CBU strategic plan and Aptamil brand strategy.
Geographic Scope - MENA Region
Functional Management - Support projects and local marketing teams in plan execution. High interaction with all CBU countries (MENA) and cross-functional teams (marketing, R&D, finance, commercial excellence, global HN & SN functions).
Main External Relations - Consumers, agencies, partners, and community organizations.
To be successful in the role you should ideally have:
Education and professional experience:
Experience with science-driven brands is a plus
Proven strategic, analytic, and problem-solving skills
Experience in the regional markets is a plus
Location:
Cairo, Egypt.
Languages required:
Fluent in English and Arabic, French is a plus.
