We are currently recruiting for a Industrial Cost Controller (Finance) position. This is a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract, full-time role. This role is based in our busy Finance Team at our Wexford factory in Ireland and reports to the Head of Finance.

 

Outline of the Role:

The mission of the role is to be responsible for the control, reporting, forecasting and animation of industrial cost and material losses for the Wexford Supply point. Acting as business partner to the Production team, you will help to increase the understanding and awareness of industrial costs, forecast accurately, and identify any potential cost saving / productivity opportunities.

 

More job duties and responsibilities include, but not limited to:

 

  • This role is the key SPOC responsible for the monthly review with their departments for the departmental budget and supporting in forecasting and annual budget exercise.
  • Preparation and review of month end accounts for all overhead and operational cost lines in the P&L, including accrual journal preparation, monthly cost review vs forecast and animation and explanation to Head of Finance, DBS Finance team and Operation team.
  • Manager deliverable by Junior Business Controller on Productivity & Material Efficiency.
  • Produce and circulate monthly material losses reports to Operation and Digital & IT partners with required level of interaction and animation to ensure understanding and to also provide challenge.
  • Input into rolling forecast process for Industrial cost and material losses with clear visibility and understanding of cost forecast, including risk and opps.
  • Facilitation, coordination and animation (together with Performance team) of productivity
  • Lead facilitation and organization of internal control and financial audits as well as annual Vestalis risk assessment.
  • Support Internal control team for onsite DANgo animation.
  • Continuously look to improve material losses reporting, animation and efficiency of our processes.
  • Provide efficient and accurate monthly Group reporting in required format.

  • Communicating complex and sensitive information.

  • Ability to provide accurate finance advice to stakeholders.

  • Broad range of relevant IT skills.

Education and Professional Experience

  • Qualified accountant- ACCA, ACA, CIMA or CPA qualified.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ PQE.
  • Must be numerate, analytical and have good oral & written communication skills
  • Have hands on experience of modern integrated ERP systems & proficient in the use of excel
  • Ability to work on own initiative and within cross functional groups
