About the job

Join our dynamic Scientific & Medical Intelligence team and help turn scientific signals, competitor moves, and market cues into actionable insights for our global research center. You’ll work at the intersection of science, data, and business, supporting decision-making in the fast-evolving food and specialized nutrition sector. Your Responsibilities:

 

  • Scan & Distill Science: Monitor publications and clinical trials, extract topline messages, and build concise “so-what” summaries for internal stakeholders.
  • Competitor & Claims Tracking: Maintain our monthly deliverables; support market and scientific queries on topics like nutritional content, positionings, sustainability, product claims, and clinical trials, among others.
  • KOL Discovery & Mapping: Build and maintain targeted lists of key opinion leaders (KOLs) using structured criteria and literature signals.
  • Q&A Desk Triage: Field quick-turn questions (e.g., evidence clarifications, basic market scans), escalating complex items with clear context and references.
  • Deliverables: Prepare newsletters, competitor and scientific intelligence briefs, and specialized thematic reports; address ad-hoc scientific, medical, and competitor questions.

 

About you

You are a Master's student in Nutrition, Dietetics, Life Sciences, Biomedical, Public Health, or similar. You are open and find it easy to communicate with multiple stakeholders and are comfortable navigating databases, large datasets, and visualizing insights for business insights. You have strong analytical and writing skills; able to turn signals into actionable insights. Nice to have: Familiarity with Specialized Nutrition categories (infant formulas, and/or adult and pediatric clinical nutrition).

 

 

There are also some compulsory requirements:

 

  • Enrolled as a Master's student during the whole internship period;
  • You are a resident of the Netherlands and hold a valid BSN number (if you are a non-EU citizen, you need to have a valid Dutch residency permit);
  • Ideally available to start in February/March 2026 for a minimum of 6 months, 5 days per week;
  • You are fluent in English - spoken and written;
  • You are able to work from our Utrecht office, at least 1 or 2 days per week.
