About the job

At Danone, Manufacturing the best products and supplying them to meet demand is a key driver for our plant teams. We are currently looking to hire an Inventory Coordinator based in our Chatsworth, California manufacturing plant! In this role, you will be responsible forz ensuring inventory accuracy across multiple systems including SAP, WMS, Tekdan, and 3PL platforms. This position supports the plant-attached warehouse and local 3PL campus, with responsibilities spanning production receipt, inventory reconciliation, and finished goods shipment coordinator.

 

In this role, you will be responsible for: 

 

  • Perform daily reconciliation of intercompany inventory transfers.
  • Reconcile inventory quantity and quality status at batch level across SAP, internal WMS, and 3PL systems.
  • Enter internal inventory movements into SAP based on WMS transactions.
  • Investigate and resolve cycle count variances, overages, and shortages.
  • Ensure daily cycle counts are completed (target: 95% monthly, 100% quarterly).
  • Issue material picklists based on production work orders and monitor material usage.
  • Track low-code products and report trends.
  • Ensure FIFO (First-In, First-Out) practices and proper storage conditions.
  • Create and manage finished goods shipments.
  • Collaborate with warehouse and procurement teams to ensure product availability and order fulfillment.
  • Resolve system-related issues and discrepancies between platforms.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends and opportunities for process improvement.
  • Support accurate data flow between WMS and ERP systems.
  • Research and correct discrepancies between systems to ensure real-time inventory accuracy.
  • Back up to Shipping Coordinator.
  • All other duties as assigned or become evident.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:  

  • Frequently standing, walking, sitting, and using hands.
  • Occasional lifting/moving of up to 25 lbs.
  • Work is performed in a warehouse and office environment.
  • Use of PPE including gloves, smocks, hairnets, and safety glasses.
  • Collaborative team environment with cross-functional responsibilities.
  • Navigation of high-traffic areas on the floor.

Ensure adherence to plant standards and procedures (including but not limited to GMP, AIB, FDA, IWS, Quality, Safety, Finance, ISO, HOPE, Danone Behaviors, Daily Direction Setting, Driving OE). As a fundamental piece of the organization, your responsibility is to participate and own the implementation and deployment of IWS system and its pillars (Leadership foundation, Daily Direction Setting, Driving OE; Autonomous Maintenance; planned Maintenance; Focused Improvement; Education and Training; Environmental, Health and Safety; Quality; Organization; Supply Network; Early Equipment Management) with the objective of owning your space, owning your performance (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Mobilization, Nature) and owning your continuous improvement.

About you

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors in Supply Chain or related discipline preferred.
  • 2-5 years of inventory management experience.
  • Experience with SAP and warehouse management systems.
  • Manufacturing and warehouse experience preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
