ABOUT THE ROLE

 

Danone is seeking a commercially driven Key Account Manager – Community Pharmacy (API & Symbion) to join our Specialised Nutrition team. This is a pivotal role where you will manage key wholesale & retail pharmacy customers to deliver sustainable growth through strong commercial execution and strategic partnerships.

 

Reporting to the Pharmacy Channel Lead, you will be responsible for driving the sales plan, joint customer plans, and commercial calendar across API & Symbion, supporting Danone’s Specialised Nutrition and Adult Nutrition portfolios

 

You will work cross-functionally with Category, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, and Field teams to ensure best-in-class execution and strong customer collaboration.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Customer & Account Leadership

  • Act as the primary contact for API & Symbion customers, building strong relationships with key stakeholders
  • Develop and deliver Joint Business Plans aligned to Danone’s category strategy
  • Lead customer engagement beyond buying teams, including supply chain, eCommerce, and marketing collaboration

Commercial & Trade Management

  • Deliver financial targets across wholesale pharmacy accounts and associated platforms
  • Lead negotiations including pricing, promotions, and trading terms
  • Manage forecasts, risks, opportunities, and trade spend optimisation using internal systems

Category & Execution Excellence

  • Lead range reviews to drive distribution, shelf presence, and merchandising gains
  • Drive execution of NPD launches, promotional plans, and in-store/online activations
  • Partner with third-party field teams to ensure excellent in-market execution

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Category, Marketing, Field, Demand Planning, and Finance teams
  • Represent customer needs internally and ensure alignment to deliver joint targets

About you

You are a high-performing Account Manager who thrives on building relationships and delivering commercial results. You bring strong ownership, agility, and a passion for working in a fast-paced environment.

 

Ideally, you will have:

  • 1–2 years’ experience in Key Account or Account Management
  • Experience in Pharmacy (API, Symbion, or wholesalers) preferred; FMCG/Grocery also considered
  • Strong commercial acumen and confidence working with data and financials
  • Proven ability to influence, negotiate, and collaborate with diverse stakeholders
  • A proactive, resilient mindset with a strong desire to learn and grow
