Manager, U.S. Materials Productivity

About the job

Quality, efficiency, and safety all play a big role in our work at Danone. Manufacturing the best products and supplying them to meet demand is a key driver for the Supply Chain team. We are currently looking to hire a Materials Productivity Manager based in Louisville, CO or White Plains, NY!

Summary:

The Manager of US Materials Productivity will lead the end-to-end materials productivity agenda for Danone US.  Partnering with key functional leaders in R&I, Cycles & Procurement, Operations and Business Leaders, they will build, drive, and ensure governance of a holistic pipeline.

  • Strategy & Pipeline
    • Drive the US Materials Productivity strategy development and yearly savings plan; translate BU targets into an executable portfolio with clear owners, timing, risks, and confidence levels (likelihood factors).
    • Lead the Materials SteerCo governance for prioritization, unblock decisions, and escalation management.
  • Governance, Standards & Data Integrity
    • Establish gold standard governance for materials projects (initiation → validation → delivery → confirmation) with strict data accuracy and exhaustivity expectations.
    • Ensure periodic iPROview portfolio reviews and drive alignment with Magnitude and Manufacturing variance reporting.
    • Codify playbooks, templates, and other requests for materials projects and embed them across plants and BUs.
  • Cross Functional Delivery
    • Partner with C&P category leaders and factory teams to source, qualify, and implement material cost down levers (spec optimization, reformulation, supplier switches, value engineering, pack formats, MOQ/lead-time, and waste reduction).
    • Collaborate with Finance to confirm savings (RF cadence) and ensure timely posting/close.
    • Coordinate with the broader Productivity COE to eliminate cross domain overlaps and standardize reporting across Industrial/Waste/Logistics.
  • Reporting & Communication
    • Provide transparent dashboards and executive readouts on savings forecast vs. confirmed, risks/NIPs, and cycle to cycle trend(s).
    • Drive weekly portfolio hygiene rituals, ensuring every project has an owner, timeline, financials, and risk status with corrective actions.

The salary range for this position is $115,000 - $140,000 USD. The exact salary offered will depend on several factors, including the candidate’s relevant experience, geographic location, internal equity, and market conditions.  Danone North America additionally offers a performance-based bonus and has a strong benefits package including Medical, Dental, Vision, Prescription Drug Coverage, 401k Plan, Wellness Program, Life Insurance, Tuition Reimbursement, Flexible Time Off, and Paid Parental Bonding Leave, among other benefit plan options. To give our employees flexibility, Danone is a hybrid work environment.
