About the job

At Danone, Manufacturing the best products and supplying them to meet demand is a key driver for our plant teams.   We are currently looking to hire a Packaging Operatror  based in West Jordan, UT!  

 

The Packaging Operator supports Packaging Department in the yogurt manufacturing plant. The Packaging Operator is responsible for operating production equipment, loading materials, performing hourly quality control checks (including solids and pH testing, and print quality and accuracy), cleaning, sanitizing and changeovers, maintaining flavor documentation and batch sheets and communicating with supervisors, peers, and mechanics. 

 

The base compensation for this position is $26.06/hr. Upon successful completion of a 90-day probationary period, your rate of pay will increase to $28.96/hr. This position will work 12-hour shifts on Night Shift from 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM, on a 4-3-3-4 rotating schedule. Please note, this position will be transitioning to a 2-2-3 rotating schedule in January of 2026.

 

Training may occur on Day Shift, between 6:00 AM and 6:30 PM.

About you

Previous Manufacturing experience is preferred.

 

Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required. 

You must have the ability to:

  • Read and write, interpret documents such as safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Comprehend basic math and simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Understand instructions provided in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Operate powered industrial equipment and navigate in right spaces and high-traffic areas in a fast-paced environment.
  • Operate a compute to enter and retrieve data. 
  • Prepare and present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees within the organization.
