Reporting to the Plant Senior Director, we’re looking for a Plant Quality Senior Manager to deliver Quality and Food Safety ambition to our customers and consumers by ensuring conformity in product, processes, culture and behaviors. As guardian of compliance to legal and regulatory standards, he/she will also drive productivity and efficiency initiatives in a Total Cost of Quality approach in both running business and innovation or renovation projects.

 

 

More specifically, you will be responsible to:

  • Ensure Quality & Food Safety of all products delivered to market, consistently with the overall Plant performance and the Process & Finished Products specifications
  • Ensure Food Safety & Quality is part of the Daily Management system and Continuous Improvement process of the Plant and develop Food Safety Culture employees.
  • Establish and pilot Plant Quality & Food Safety Roadmap in collaboration with the Plant Leadership Team and QFS corporate Team in line with Danone Central & NORAM guidelines and local regulation.
  • Manage QFS plant team, activities and programs linked with priorities of business from suppliers/raw material to finished goods shipped to consumers and every QFS related certification (Food Safety Index FSI, FSSC 22000, clients, Kosher, Halal, claims).
  • Lead and develop QFS Plant team directly and indirectly lab technicians and sanitation professionals, represent Boucherville Factory in the NorAm and Global QFS network and animate cross-functional teams on productivity or digital initiatives around QFS topics.
  • Contribute as an active member of the leadership committee, and lead various plant transformation programs.

About you

 

 

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications and competencies:

  • Bachelor and/or master’s degree in food industry, or related field (microbiology, chemistry, cosmetics, pharmaceutical).
  • Management experience in an unionized environment
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in quality and or operations position
  • Fluent in both French and English (French is mandatory)
  • Cross-functional leadership and auditing skills
  • Experience in managing a big and diverse team.
  • Ability to take unpopular decisions.
  • Problem Solving and data driven decision process
  • HACCP and allergen principles
  • Autonomous and curious
