At Danone, Manufacturing the best products and supplying them to meet demand is a key driver for our plant teams.   We are currently looking to hire a Process Engineer Intern based in Minster, OH.

The Process Engineer Intern supports the Operations team in improving manufacturing processes, analyzing performance data, and assisting in problem-solving efforts. This role provides hands-on experience in equipment optimization, process standardization, and continuous improvement initiatives while working closely with line teams and engineering leadership.

Key Responsibilities

As a key member of our team, you will play an important role in driving our mission forward. The following responsibilities outline the core expectations and contributions for this position:

• Assist in identifying and analyzing process losses and inefficiencies on production lines
• Support the development and implementation of process improvements and standardization initiatives
• Participate in Daily Direction Setting (DDS) meetings and help track key performance metrics
• Collaborate with line leaders and frontline teams to maintain and improve operating standards
• Help collect, analyze, and interpret process and equipment data to identify trends and improvement opportunities
• Support troubleshooting activities and root cause analysis for process failures
• Assist in maintaining documentation such as standard operating procedures (SOPs) and process control strategies
• Participate in change management and validation activities for process improvements
• Contribute to continuous improvement projects related to quality, safety, and efficiency
• Assist in training materials preparation and knowledge sharing activities
• Support planned stops, changeovers, and Clean-In-Place (CIP) optimization activities
• Ensure adherence to safety standards and company policies while on the production floor

• Ability to effectively manage stress and maintain performance in a fast-paced, high-demand manufacturing environment

Work Environment

• Work is performed in a manufacturing environment with exposure to moderate noise and temperature variations.
• Involves working flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts with the expectation that longer hours may be required based on operational needs in a 24/7 manufacturing environment

Engagement in our Integrated Work Systems

Ensure adherence to all plant standards and procedures (including but not limited to GMP, AIB, FDA, Quality, Safety, Finance, ISO, HOPE, Danone Behaviors, Daily Direction Setting, and Driving OE). As a fundamental leader within the organization, own the implementation and deployment of the Integrated Work Systems (IWS) framework or equivalent continuous improvement systems across all plant types. This includes driving core pillars such as Leadership Foundation, Daily Direction Setting, Driving Operational Excellence, Autonomous and Planned Maintenance, Focused Improvement, Education and Training, Environmental Health and Safety, Quality, and Supply Network. The objective is to build a culture of ownership of space, performance (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Mobilization, Nature), and continuous improvement regardless of system maturity.

Compensation & Benefits:

Danone North America compensates employees for hours worked only and does not provide eligibility for vacation or holiday pay. However, this role may qualify for sick leave in accordance with the Company’s Paid Sick & Safe Time Policy and applicable state law. Please note that interns are not eligible to participate in the Company’s health benefits program.

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, or related field required)

• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
